Stupidity is a luxury. The more separated you are from the consequences of your stupidity, the more stupidity you can survive, the more stupid you become. Or, you can reverse the observation and state: The closer you are to the consequences of your stupidity, the sooner and the more you pay for your stupidity, the more incentive to acquire objectivity. The further we get from the last generation to be raised with the values and commitment to truth, right, and good, the more stupid our culture becomes. We know that generation as the Greatest Generation. That generation acquired its name by facing down the greatest evils of the last century and by producing the most successful economy the world has ever known. They are the generation which grabbed onto the technology revolution with both hands and turned little ideas into great companies and generated productivity advances by leaps and bounds. They faced the great challenges and defeated them and they ignored the most important duty they would ever have. The duty to pass their values on to the next generation. Their progeny were the stupid generation. That generation which brought us the sit-in demonstration, the drop-out and drug cultures, and another return to the Utopian vision of world peace. Why? Because they were protected from the consequences of stupidity by their parents' wealth and blind faith in the professors to educate them with the best information and intent. Unfortunately, those colleges were infected by the home grown communists. Literal communists.
So, the stupid generation went to college. Then, they went into entertainment and journalism and education. These are three industries which do not depend on truth or objectivity. All three industries with few exceptions, are protected from the consequences of objectivity blindness. In education we find the hard sciences are the only place you can find conservatives and Republicans dominating on the college campus. In entertainment, the only place you can find a conservative dominated field is sports. Why? Because the hard sciences are dependent on hard facts, objectivity. The same with sports, the ball goes through the goal or the ball does not go through the goal. It doesn't matter how many times and how well you explain the evil nature of the Jew and the Christian. I'm sure I've mangled my attempt to title this observation by mixing Latin and French but... The defacto trifecta une betement is roughly translated 'the state of a perfect storm of foolish misinformation' resulting in full blown cultural delusion.
When I was a kid, horror movies were truly horrific. These days the entertainment industry creates image driven horror but back then, these movies had plots that laid out circumstances anyone could imagine themselves falling victim to such as a radio dj being stalked by a woman who appeared to be normal and in full control of her faculties, but who would set him up to be arrested and ruined if he did not meet her desires. (Play Misty for Me) Another was a nice looking motel which happened to have a caretaker who would kill overnighters and restore the room to normal before morning. (Psycho) These movies took you into the lives of either the victims or the perpetrators if not both. I bring this up because the next movie I mention is very much like the couch potato voter's experience in America today. A woman is hired to be an office worker in an insane asylum. She is received by the doctor and his staff and is pleased by their warm spirit. She is set to work and goes through half the movie doing her job but finding odd things happening from time to time. Before the movie is over, she realizes the good doctor and his staff are the inmates and the actual doctor and those remaining alive of his staff have been locked away in one of the padded rooms for weeks. By the time this woman figures out what's going on, many of the other patients have been killed or maimed and her life is in dire jeapardy.
Let me just analagyze for a moment here. If America is the insane asylum and socialist/communist/extremists' violence is against the founding fathers' ideals and the staff are those who hold true to those ideals, then the couch potato voters are the non-violent inmates, rather than the new hire. A new hire would be an immigrant who values the same principals as the founding fathers. New hires and non-violent inmates are being killed and maimed right along with the staff. Immigrants, unsuspecting voters, and patriots to the founding fathers ideals are suffering tyrranny at the hands of the enemies of the founding fathers' ideals. You guys helped these nuts get control of the asylum because they promised you a bunch of stuff you want, but they aren't delivering, because they can't deliver. First they don't have the will to give you all the things they promised you. Second, they couldn't if they tried, nobody has the resources to deliver on all those promises. Third, even if we did have all those resources, they don't have the self discipline to deliver them because they first take everything they want. Foruth, when you realize you aren't going to get what they promised you, the nuts are going to turn on you with all the vehemence they used on the staff.
I'm saying, America is literally headed toward becoming a communist state. The nuts are destroying our Constitution right by right, legal precedent by legal precedent. If the Republicans are going along, then they fall into the couch potato/non-violent role right beside you. Their motivation is just like yours. Personal profit. But the modern day Liberal, the controlling force in American culture today, are literally parcing out favors and rights to promote their control and methodically destroying all the rest of our rights and wealth. All the traditional information venues are controlled by these Modern day Liberals. There is no police force to call in to set things right. The framers of our Constitution wrote that right into the founding documents. You have a right and the responsibility to ensure the government does not wrest control of our culture from the hands of those who value the framers' ideals. Personal liberty comes with personal duty. Your duty is to protect the individual's rights and hold government accountable to the rule of law. If you won't, then liberty and rights are dead and the grand experiment of the culture of freedom is gone, perhaps forever more. If we are not the next 'greatest generation' there may never be another opportunity for our children to be one. Our only police force is you and the few who are finding other information venues like the internet are awakening to the real dangers, but it is highly unlikely enough will be motivated to act before its too late because this perfect storm of misinformation is keeping the majority either ignorant or in opposition to the steps we have to take.
The following videos are long, approximately 35 minutes each, but you will not hear a more important message about the current condition of the Modern day Liberal's frame of mind. Two years ago, Evan Sayet gave a speech at the Heritage Foundation that went viral and this year gave another expanding his examples. The first video is the most recent. If I haven't been clear enough or conveyed the dangers well enough for you to understand or believe my warnings, please listen to Evan explain the insanity we are observing in Wathington, in the media, in our kid's schools, and in the entertainment industry.
To quote Evan Sayet, "Every single medium in which there is honest open discussion, the Liberal looses. He has to loose because he's always in opposition to the truth. Take the same arguments the Liberals make on TV news and in the newspapers, into talk radio where they have to answer questions and they loose. Take them to a townhall meeting or onto online debate forums and they loose. Right? Cable newstalk shows with representatives of both sides, they loose. Viewers go to FOX news. The only talk radio station they have has to have millions of dollars pumped into it by George Soros. Their radio station is basically on welfare. Liberal ideology cannot win in the marketplace of ideas."
KILL YOUR TV!!!
Not only is pedophilia legal in many countries around the world, it is culturally acceptable. I was sent another news article about an 8 year old girl seeking a divorce from her betrothed, a 47 year old man. In this case the 'Judge' ruled that she was TOO YOUNG TO SEEK A DIVORCE!!! This is the epitome of up side down thinking. The judge further said that she could apply for a divorce WHEN SHE REACHED PUBERTY!!! The truth is that this behavior is rampant in Islamic culture around the world because the 'perfect man' demonstrated it himself. These stories only make the news because the big business news industry uses the shock value to turn a dime. If it were not for this money motive, they would not come close to the politically incorrect job of criticizing Islam or its prophet. Because they do have the profit motive, the politically correct attitude is beginning to turn, however they would not deign to criticize the bloodiest religion of our time and in my opinion, of all time for being bloody. And since the PC attitude is changing the Islamic culture is changing, however slowly to stop the practice of selling children to be wed. This barely scratches the surface of human rights abuses within the Islamic culture. I've written about the official rejection of any other faith in their midst by violent means. I've written about the capital punishment of rape victims and homosexuals. I've written about the Palestinian lies against Israel. I've written about the grade school indoctrination to hatred. What I don't see is the media focus on the ills of Islam, ever. There are a few exceptions, like John Stossel, Glen Beck, Michelle Malkin who are willing to put the facts together to get an over all view, but all you'll see in the MSM is 'isolated stories' of feudal gang rapes, child brides, and suicide bombings.
The liberal elite and the complicit media have done tremendous damage to our reputation around the world claiming we are the greatest source of evil in the world. I was angry at the liberals before 9/11/1 and I was angry at the discrimination against my faith long before they piled on the American presidency making him out to be the war monger instead of the agency charged with keeping this nation safe. The more I learn the angrier I become. I am currently working on a series called Big Lies as I study authors like Michael Medved, Victor Davis Hansen, and many other historians. So I'll broach this topic again in the near future. For now, I want to address how the liberals would defend Islam.
I know there will be those who will try to defend Islamic nations by
attacking America, since there is no logical reason to defend Islam in
this issue. Instead they would try to make Western cultures, especially American culture appear morally equivalent. So let's just compare child marriages that occur in the
U.S. to child marriages that occur in Islamic nations. Here we have a
12 year old child who is seeking help and protection from her husband
who has hurt her with a knife and threatens to do much worse. According to Sharia Law, he would be within his rights. Leaving aside the beatings on the street by the morality police, this is essentially slavery. A woman is not her own. In other words, her entire life is spent under the authority of a man. If not her father, then her brother or uncle until she is married. Then it is her husband and if not her husband then her son or her brother in law.
Here you have a woman who is still in her marriage at 35 after being married at 14 against her mother's will. In the next case you have a similar case where the girl wanted to be married as a child and it was against her parent's wishes and the state imprisoned her husband for having sexual relations with a minor of 15 while he was 22 years of age. The next case again was similar. These are marriages by choice of the girl, frowned upon by all their authority figures. The one case that was not the girl's desire was among the Hmong immigrant community at age 15. The youngest among these cases was age 13 and again, against her parents' wishes. In all these cases except the Hmong arranged marriage, the age disparity between the husband and wife was no more than 10 years. In all these cases the wife has the option at any time to divorce her husband with the legal authorities' support. While I abhor the sexual activation of anyone under the age of 17 and prefer that they wait until they are mature enough to make life long consequential decisions, I can certainly see a moral difference between a culture who works to discourage this behavior and one which embraces it. There may be comments of criticism within the Muslim society, there is no internal incentive for correction among the authorities of the culture.
time need be specified but in the latter a time must be stipulated, for example an hour, a day, a month, a year, or more. A man can marry a girl younger than 9 years of age, even if the girl is still a baby being breast fed. A man however, is prohibited from having intercourse with her until she is 9 years old, other sexual acts such as rubbing, kissing, foreplay, and sodomy is allowed. A man having intercourse with a girl younger than 9 years of age has not committed a crime, only an infraction if the girl is not permanently damaged. If the girl is permanently damaged, the man must provide for her all her life. But this girl will not count as one of the man's four permanent wives. He also is not permitted to marry the girl's sister." Another statement says a man can enjoy the thighs. This is the practice of pressing the legs together of the child so he can go between them and get his jollies that way.
Here is a case of a child being sold into marriage to settle a debt. Her husband still retains her as his wife while she is being interviewed as a 14 year old and keeps interrupting the interview because he is concerned that the story will come out that she attempted to suicide by fire in protest of her marriage at age 11. She shows us her burn scars during the interview in spite of her husband's interruptions. We are not told when or if the marriage has been consummated. Those who face Western criticism of Islam is making changes on the power of this shame being too public and roundly condemned among other cultures, but these changes are slow to becoming socially and legally applicable. This issue of shame is a powerful force in Islamic cultures. Yet child marriage is barely a snowflake on the end of the iceberg. Sex trafficking, slave trading though officially condemned is widely practiced in rural and underdeveloped states. Capital punishments and disparate justice dispensation between the sexes are source problems resulting in the death of many rape victims after being convicted by religious/legal authorities for being alone with a man, for having sex outside of marriage, etc., Since their guide to morality is found in the 'perfect man' (Mohammad the prophet of Allah) and since this man represented behavior that was conroversial even for 500 AD, Islam will not self correct on human rights issues. Only by the criticism of Islam from outside Islam will any changes occur within Islamic culture on the issues of human rights.
It is true that I disapprove of abortion. I know that this practice kills more than one million babies every year. I know
that those who founded its biggest provider were and are racist and sexist. I know that it harms minority communities the most and that it leaves a deep pain in the mothers of those lost children. But I don't take my disapproval and go around beating and killing either those who perform them nor those who receive them. That is what would demonstrate hate. My faith instructs me to invite them to join me in this faith so they can learn to value life the way I have learned to.It is true that I disapprove of the homosexual lifestyle. I know that this behavior is self destructive and millions of people suffer damage and disease to their bodies in its practice. I know that the gay lobby in America is pushing its acceptance into every corner of our culture including our schools' kindergartens. I know that this push is making our children's gender identity malleable and perverting their innocent psyches before they are ready for knowledge of such things. I don't take that disapproval and go around beating and killing homosexuals. That is what would demonstrate hate. My faith instructs me to invite them to join me in this faith so they can learn that this behavior is harmful to our society as well as to themselves.
It is true that I disapprove of the religion of Islam. I know that this religion has not been hijacked, that it practices the concept of justifiable deception, and that it requires its followers to institute world wide Sharia Law. The same law that requires unequal treatment of women, blacks, and unbelievers. I don't take that disapproval and go around beating and killing Muslims. That is what would demonstrate hate. My faith instructs me to invite them to join me in my faith so they can learn the source of real peace rather than Islam's brand of violent domination and overthrow of differing faiths and governance.
It is true that I disapprove of socialism. I know that this is the stepping stone toward Communism, Maoism, and basic despotism including regimes like Hugo Chavez, Fidel Castro, Polpot, and countless others. I have studied a little history and seen that the end of this ideology of building a utopia on earth is always, always the last step before re-education camps, Gulags, genocides, and so-called freedom wars against free and successful societies. I don't take that disapproval and go around beating and killing socialists. That is what demonstrates hatred. My faith instructs me to invite socialists to join me in this faith so they can learn that people are inherently evil and must fight their own natures so they can live together in peace.
Hatred is not demonstrated in critical speech just because the speech is critical. Hatred is demonstrated in speech and actions that intend harm. Actions like keying cars, stealing burning or otherwise destroying political yard signs spray painting threats onto a candidates garage door firebombing a billboard or any of a hundred other examples is a form of intimidation. Actions which intimidate others for their views is an abuse of their right to freedom of speech. Hatred is demonstrated in speech which is intended to intimidate as well. Do not confuse hatred with an opposing view on what's good for our culture and society. Do not equate criticism with hatred.
Long before Jonah Goldberg published his book, 'Bias' conservatives have been charging the media with double standard reporting in favor of liberal pundits, politicians and agenda. Today I was listening to Hugh Hewitt's program and one of his regular guests, Mark Steyn of Steynonline fame and author of the book 'America Alone' observed that the big media are fighting for their lives. Their motivation for all this bias is primarily due to the fact that Democrats are advocating for the Fairness Doctrine. There is nothing fair about the fairness doctrine. It is in effect a breach of free speech rights because it only affects those media outlets the Conservatives have a strong or dominant presence in. Those outlets are Talk Radio and the online blogs. They do not include news papers or the big three evening news on TV, or colleges where the liberal voices dominate or the movie messages dominated by the liberal elite in Hollywood. Talk show hosts have been preaching against the fairness doctrine but they haven't put the mainstream media together with the advocates of the unfairness doctrine. They have in fact, been wondering why the media are so biased toward the liberal ideology and dismissing it or blaming it on their college training or their own personal politics. This is far more insipid than they realize. The editors and producers are participating in this double standard by burying positive conservative news and promoting negative conservative news and vice versa. They are less and less subtle about it in regard to this election and Mark Steyn is the first to have put his finger on it. He is the first to connect the dots for all the conservative talk show hosts and conservative pundits. I have a new found respect for this man and believe me, I had plenty to start with. He has been sued in his country of citizenship for practicing his free speech rights which are now being squelched by recent legislation there and the abuse thereof by one, just one vile, hate filled, Islamic pundit. That alone, would have given me deep respect for Steyn. He is fighting this abuse of rights to the end rather than cower away from his duty to inform us of American influence for good around the world and to defeat this anti-free speach commission in Canada.
The big money media industry is fighting your rights to freedom of speech on the internet and talk radio by proxy through partisan politics. The result is the party of any liberty but religious liberty is now arm in arm with an information industry to socialize the various information venues not in their power. If Obama should win this election, the Democrats will have control of all three houses of legislation to write your freedom to speak your mind out of the constitution IN THE NAME OF FAIRNESS!! and you can bet Canada's hate speech law will be implemented right here in the good ol' U.S. of A. You too, can be held accountable for your opinions on the political system known as Islamic Sharia law.
Over at the group, "Rethinking the Church and its Relationship to the Community" I watched this video posted by Butt Rock Ken of Mark Lowry interviewing Tony Campolo. Now I oppose Tony Campolo's work on separation of church and state, but the rest of his writings, sermons, speeches and thoughts are utterly clear, sound thinking. In this interview he demonstrates this in recounting the difference between power and authority. So this is the seed of this article.

In my experience, the church is involved in sacrificing for their community and for the world. Every church I have been a member of (admittedly a small number) has been involved in giving food, services, and care to their communities and giving to poor and needy people around the world. I don't mean giving out of their wealth either. I mean often giving when they are in need. I agree with Tony Campolo's assessment about authority and in my opinion the church does earn that authority. While there are instances of some churches trying to impose political will on the nation at large, this is not to be confused with the authority bought and paid for by sacrificial giving. As Mother Theresa had the moral clout to speak to college kids about their immoral lifestyles and to President Clinton about abortion, the giving church has moral clout to speak to their communities about their immoral policies. This is where I believe Tony deviates from his own message on the separation of church and state. Tony is himself involved in politics, why then would he suggest that the church should not be involved in the same way. Is it the organizational aspect of the Christian voice? What then? Are we to leave the political power to the secularists who've demonstrated an effective collectivist activism and influence on the political system? It would be a suicide of reason and result in the loss of our fundamental right to freedom of religion to vacate the opposition of the anti-Christian movement.
My greatest criticism goes to the main stream media and to the generation which disrespects authority. The generation that had as one of its mantras "Never trust anybody over thirty." Another is "Speak truth to power" as if power is by definition seats of deception and corruption. Positions of power are not born in corruption though they have been and some currently are filled with corrupt individuals. Jack Murtha is the first to come to mind. Those powers were born of necessity for a civil society to function. We try to judge which candidates would fill those roles to best benefit the society they govern. This brings us to the crux of Christian involvement in political activism. Who better to judge who has moral clout? Who better to influence those powers for the benefit of society than those willing to sacrifice of themselves for that community? The media influence on the popular view of religious people is similar to the one we see in the arena of science debate. Christians have real reasons to debate the theory of evolution, but we have been shut out of the discussion and ridiculed for our belief in a Designer. Our explanation for the existence of everything has been labeled 'fanatic' and 'superstitious.' This view has progressed to the point that our belief is banned from the institutions of education. The media continues this system of demarcation by putting a ? in front of every interview with a religious figure, yet it is those same Christians who are sacrificing of themselves to go to the drug addicted, pimps, poor, homeless, and even into the prisons to bring about real benefit to those trapped in their circumstances.
We are earning moral clout and nowhere is that more evident than in the personal lives of those who've escaped their addictions and economic traps through the aid of the Christian community. Where we are ridiculed and shunned is in the very halls of authority that those we emulate established. We began the fight that ended slavery, we began the fight for human rights and self rule and determination. We continue that fight to this day. Those are the values this nation was born on and not, as the secularists claim, on the mix of many cultures. Mixing the cultures is good, but it wasn't the idea of many cultures mixed. It was the idea of a Christ centered heritage open to all comers.
Back to authority. What authority is bought by holding up a sign that says "No Blood for Oil?" There is no sacrifice in that. Neither is there any benefit to society locally or globally. What sacrifice to march through the streets of Washington shouting slogans for equal rights to marriage for gays? These groups have no moral clout, no authority to speak of rights. This is merely a selfish demand as is the anti-war campaign. They see the war as a 'sacrifice' they are not willing to make. This is why giving in to these demands is a step away from morality rather than toward it. These are anti-sacrificial movements pushing greater evil into the world born in and fueled by selfishness.
Speaking truth to power means nothing when truth is described as relative by pop culture. "What's true for you is not true for me." Truth used to mean we all assume one way to be true and all others to be false and wrong. How about speaking authority to power? Where the voices that are buying credibility by investing in the society with their sacrifices are more valued than the voices demanding of society rather than investing in it.
On Friday, I saw a video of popular court TV Judge Judy making clear to a thug where she stands on private citizens and personal weapons. It is a rare bit of wisdom expressed from the bench, even a TV bench which bears no impact in the real courts. Judge Judy has been and still holds accreditation through the BAR association, but the TV courtroom is a show and as such, the participants sign documents before entering this court which holds them to a binding contract of the Judge's judgments. It is a great representation of why the Supreme Court did the right thing upholding citizens' right to keep and bear arms as laid out in the Constitution.
Foreign Aid to U.S. for Katrina
I have argued with Liberals on world opinion about America. The Liberals have charged that the world hates America for its imperialism and its consumption of the world's resources. The Liberals really believe that we are a force for evil in the world. I think this video displays the fallacy of that charge. We have poured out our resources on struggling people around the world whether we are in good times or bad. We have spent trillions in efforts to spread human rights and humanitarian aid and we have spilt American blood in the attempt to defend the defenseless. When America was hit by hurricane Katrina, the world was ready to give back, many at great personal cost.
