Today marks the first 9/11 anniversarry with a new POTUS holding the reigns of the American military.  In case anyone has forgotten, we are still involved in the wars that event kicked off.  How has the new POTUS handled the job of defender of the free world?  That is what is coming to light in this week.  Ben pointed this out to me, and I thank him.  Presidential policies matter in world events and during a hot war, they matter to each and every volunteer in our armed services because their careers, reputations, and especially their lives may be called on the line at any moment.

So, let us examine the president's performance in the war effort.  August 31, 09 the McClatchy reported that the Pentagon is Worried About Obama's Commitment to Afghanistan.  

[The prospect that U.S. Army Gen. Stanley McChrystal may ask for as many as 45,000 additional American troops in Afghanistan is fueling growing tension within President Barack Obama's administration over the U.S. commitment to the war there.]

Violence has been escalating in Afganistan and three different polls indicate support for the war in Afghanistan is declining in the American public.  Obama and staff are said to have thought there would be more support for the Afghan war effort though they criticized the Iraq war effort as wrong.  (??) Dopes!  The left don't support any military action or use unless its peaceful.  Without decisive action, of course the people don't want to be involved in putting troops into engagement with their hands manacled.  War is not a place or time for half measures.  The POTUS position is one of leadership, not polling the public for followship.

[However, administration officials said that amid rising violence and casualties, polls that show a majority of Americans now think the war in Afghanistan isn't worth fighting. With tough battles ahead on health care, the budget and other issues, Vice President Joe Biden and other officials are increasingly anxious about how the American public would respond to sending additional troops.]

The troop level assessment indicates bureaucracy is hampering military effectiveness.  It isn't specifically stated, but the indication is that this bureaucracy is rolling down from the administration, a fear running through the brass that an 'incident' may be used to prosecute military staff and nobody wants to fall on their proverbial sword to cover the president's political ass since his administration is demonstrating their own willingness to be the political steam roller that threatens them, so brass will not take the necessary risks to win this war.

[The assessment also calls for more U.S. government civilians to be sent to Afghanistan and for the streamlining of the military's command structure, saying that too much bureaucracy is making it difficult for commanders to make decisions on the ground.]

Tuesday September 8, 09.  McClatchy again, this time reporting about the cost to troops in blood due to the indecisive commanders in the field afraid to risk an incident.  "We're Pinned Down!" 4 US Troops Die in Afghan Ambush

[U.S. commanders, citing new rules to avoid civilian casualties, rejected repeated calls to unleash artillery rounds at attackers dug into the slopes and tree lines — despite being told repeatedly that they weren't near the village.]

Back to the Pentagon is worried piece; at the same time that the violence is escalating and the troops are suffering greater losses, due to bureaucratic failure to risk an incident, the commanders are feeling added pressure to make progress.  Bureaucracies suck.  They suck exponentially when a commander in chief adds fear in his officers by his indecisive  waffling for fear of criticism from the world and its left leaning press.

[ Meanwhile, U.S. military commanders in Kabul feel the political clock ticking, saying they think they have no more than 18 months to show some kind of progress, even as most agree that they don't have enough troops.]

Taliban's Growth in Afghanistan's North Threatens to Expand War  Friday August 28, 09 McClatchy

This kind of crap is what encourages our enemies to hang on, if they just hold out, America will defeat itself.  Eight years in and now we're seeing a growth in the Taliban in Afghanistan.  Mr. President, be the leader you have to be.  If you could see past your ego, you might recognize that George Bush was a far superior intellect if for no other reason than his commitment to finish what he started.  Oh but wait, this isn't YOUR war, is it?   Today, at least four military men would say, "No, it isn't."

When two baseball teams step onto a field of play, they are equal.  The score is 0-0.  At the end of the game (designed to measure competence, skill, and ability) we usually find out that they are not equal.  In fact, we are dissappointed if they are equal.  So one team shows up with only 5 players or all their players but they are ill equipped, or they are simply physically much smaller, or they are decked out in brand new equipment, they are all body builders and models for the magazines but they haven't trained one day.  Ideally the score board is the ultimate judge.  The role and effort of the umpire is to ensure equal opportunity, but the Liberal wants to insure the score is equal.  I'm using the baseball team analogy to illustrate that this is entirely a result of the feminization of America, because when you enter your kid in Little League these days, the trophies mean nothing.  NOTHING!! Why?  Because they hand out trophies to every player of both teams, win or loose, participate or bench warm, to keep from hurting the little folks' feelings.  

Our savior president is presently campaigning for the now passed stimulus bill, still trying to sell it on the premise that 'Only Government Can Fix This.  One thing is sure, only government can gamble this big and it is one giant trillion dollar roll of the dice.  This video by my friend over at Liberty Pen explains it clearly with professionals giving their opinions on the subject.  Only government can screw up this bad.  Only government can condemn generations to squalor.  The only selling point is, this generation won't have to face the consequences.

This video of a newlywed being asked questions by Bob Eubanks is hilarious.  However, it reveals something of importance I wanted to broach.  Suppose you don't know how to respond to a pin headed bully who leads a country like Iran or Russia.  Suppose you don't know that life begins at conception and the baby feels pain when being pulled from the mother's womb, piece by piece.  Suppose you don't know how to inspire a people to do something they really don't want to, like war, like self sacrifice, like submitting to proper authority.  Suppose you don't know that the country you lead IS breakable.

These would be concerns in voting for Barack O if you believe he actually wants America to be blessed.  I happen to think he is a literal enemy of liberty, unity, and faith in the God of the Bible.  So, take this to heart for yourself.  If you don't know Barack O, if you don't know that he wants to CHANGE America to destroy her, then for the sake of all that we hold dear, LOOK AT HIS RECORD.  LOOK AT HIS ASSOCIATIONS.  LOOK AT THE EVIDENCE.

Just as Bob Eubanks maintains a straight face while helping her to dig herself into a chasm, so is the enemy of America who would lead her holding a straight face while he inspires you to support him for change and hope.  Change and hope by the way, that he does not describe nor detail.

Since I have abandoned my TV (except Fox News Sunday) I miss some minor things going on in our culture.  In comments on my last article Judy pointed me to Pastor Manning on YouTube.  The video I watched was intriguing because of his strong message about Barack Obama but something in your spirit hurts when you hear him speak this way.  Seeing as how the man is a pastor and as such represents the Creator, the Counselor, and the Healer I decided to watch some of his work and see what more I could learn of him. 

My criticism of liberals, Barack or Muslims has been plentiful but has never been about race or mixed race.  It has never been about the lifestyle of parents and only on the basis of their own speech, actions, and character.  It has been about their associations, affiliations, and inspirations.  I know some will criticize my frequent use of the term Islamo-Nazis but the term is accurate and I have demonstrated this fact.  They will criticize my early and continued and now firmed up suspicion that Barack is a Muslim plant but I have always given the evidence that leads me to think so and the evidence has been mounting ever since I started.

This passage speaks of acting in a manner which would cause others to stumble, to fall away from faith or to not accept the word of truth.  Pastor Manning, as a representative of Christ has been released from the law of Moses, but like Paul is conscripted to present himself as one separated from evil.  In today's politically correct environment to use language like nappy headed people is not acceptable and literally creates a block to many people hearing the gospel message.  I had a video of Sean Hannity correcting him on the Hannity and Colmes interview but as I was embedding it YouTube took it down.  The point is, that the general populace sees this as evil but the man's intentions are far from evil.  He genuinely loves black people and uses this speech to attract traffic to his YouTube ministry site.  In my view, the net result is negative and damages the image of Christianity to the vast majority of Americans who will only visit his sight in order to find some outrageous comment to get excited about.

A while back I wrote an article on Obama's faith sell to the Christian community and in it referred to another article I wrote about his candidacy.  In that one, I stated that I suspected he could be a Muslim plant.  Today, another ACT member sent me some article links that give more reason to suspect he could be just that.  Nothing strong and certainly not concrete, just more reason to suspect.

The United States Senate may vote any day on the stealth imposition of what could amount to an $845 BILLION United Nations style global tax on American citizens?

It's called the Global Poverty Act (S.2433), and it is being sponsored by none other than Senator Barack Obama.

According to some conservative sources, this disastrous legislation could eventually force U.S. taxpayers to fork over as much as 0.7 percent of the nation's Gross Domestic Product -- or $845,000,000,000.00 -- on welfare to third-world countries.

Here's what Phyllis Schlafly, conservative activist and founder of Eagle Forum, recently wrote:

"Obama's costly, dangerous and altogether bad bill (S. 2433), which could come up in the Senate any day, is called the Global Poverty Act. It would commit U.S. taxpayers to spend 0.7 percent of our Gross Domestic Product on foreign handouts..." [Emphasis Mine]

Time is of the essence because Senator Joe Biden, the Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee just issued a report on the Global Poverty Act and it was placed on the Senate Legislative Calendar on Thursday the 24th.

That means that time is of the essence as this potentially massive surrender of your hard-earned tax dollars to the third world may be close to a vote.

That's why we must act today... BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE!

The Senate Shell Game...

Advocates of the Global Poverty Act are claiming that it does not really commit the United States to anything... that it won't really cost anything... that it simply requires the President -- in conjunction with the Secretary of State -- to "develop" strategies to alleviate world poverty.

In fact, Biden's report incredulously states, "implementing S. 2433 would cost less than $1 million per year..."

Technically he's correct... after all, it doesn't really cost that much to develop and formulate strategies...

But such a cleverly worded contention begs the question:  Why formulate or develop a strategy if there is no intention to follow through on that strategy?

And what would it cost to actually follow through on a strategy to alleviate world poverty?

The Global Poverty Act intentionally gives no specific figures but it does contain clues, and those clues are stated repeatedly in the legislation's reliance on the United Nations Millennium Development Goal.

WorldNetDaily.com quotes Cliff Kincaid of Accuracy in Media as saying:

"The bill defines the term 'Millennium Development Goals' as the goals set out in the United Nations Millennium Declaration..."

"In addition to seeking to eradicate poverty, that declaration commits nations to banning 'small arms and light weapons' and ratifying a series of treaties, including the International Criminal Court Treaty, the Kyoto Protocol (global warming treaty), the Convention on Biological Diversity, the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women, and the Convention on the Rights of the Child."

As for specific figures... WorldNetDaily.com reports:

"Those U.N. protocols would make U.S. law on issues ranging from the 2nd Amendment to energy usage and parental rights all subservient to United Nations whims."

"[T]he legislation, if approved, dedicates 0.7 percent of the U.S. gross national product to foreign aid, which over 13 years... would amount to $845 billion 'over and above what the U.S. already spends.'"

And, how would the United States pay for this $845 BILLION commitment?  According to Kincaid, who published a report on the legislation; "A global tax will clearly be necessary to force American taxpayers to provide the money."

And that $845 BILLION global tax is in addition to our nation's current Foreign Aid programs, which, in 2006, cost American taxpayers about $300 BILLION!

Senator Obama's Global Poverty Act has already passed the House (many Members unfortunately voted in favor of it without carefully noting exactly what was in it) and President Bush may very well sign it!

That's why it must be stopped, and it must be stopped NOW!

It Gets Worse!

Here are some of the additional provisions of the Millennium Development Goal:

a "currency transfer tax," that is, a tax imposed on companies and individuals who must exchange dollars for foreign currency;

a "tax on the rental value of land and natural resources"; 

a "royalty on worldwide fossil energy projection -- oil, natural gas, coal";

"fees for the commercial use of the oceans, fees for airplane use of the skies, fees for use of the electromagnetic spectrum, fees on foreign exchange transactions, and a tax on the carbon content of fuels."

a "standing peace force," meaning a standing United Nations army that might, in time, be large enough to force us to bend to its will;

a "UN arms register of all small arms and light weapons," the beginning of the end of the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution;

the "eradication of poverty" by the "redistribution [of] wealth and land" -- How do you suppose the United Nations expects to "redistribute" the land and the wealth?  And what country do you think the third-world majority will go after first?

cancellation of "the debts of developing countries,"

"a fair distribution of the earth's resources."

and "political control of the global economy."

In other words, it's a blueprint for a world government, owned and operated by the United Nations.

One thing is clear: the Millennium Development Goal is a dagger aimed at the heart of America.

While the Global Poverty Act, as presently championed by its Senate supporters, embraces certain aspects of the Millennium Development Goal, one should wonder if some of our legislators also support land and wealth "redistribution."

We must stop this bill dead in its tracks.

We must stop this subversion NOW!  Don't let Senator Obama's Global Poverty Act sneak through the Senate.

Other Appropriate Entities...

Dr. Jeffrey D. Sachs -- a Columbia University economist -- is monitoring the Millennium Development Goal for the United Nations. 

In his 2005 report to Kofi Annan -- based on the research of 265 "poverty specialists" -- Sachs criticized the United States for giving only a mere $16.3  billion a year to alleviate global poverty.

He argued that we should spend at least an additional $30 billion a year.

And Sachs has decreed that the only way to force the United States to commit that much money is to IMPOSE A GLOBAL TAX.

Has Senator Obama -- along with the other Senate co-sponsors -- introduced the Global Policy Act at least in partial obedience to Sachs' wishes?

Phyllis Schlafly claims:

"The Global Poverty Act would be a giant step toward the Millennium Goals of global governance and international taxes on Americans. Tell your Senators to kill this un-American bill." 

Joe Farah, publisher of WorldNetDaily.com said of this treacherous bill:

"Now comes an even grander proposal by Barack Obama. It's called the Global Poverty Act, that would, in the next decade, transfer at least $845 billion of U.S. taxpayer money overseas. Think of Johnson's failed war on poverty going international -- directed not by Americans but by the United Nations."

And yes, just in case you think the massive amounts of your tax dollars that were wasted under the United Nation's Oil for Food program were an aberration, and that such a thing could not eventually happen on a more massive scale were the Global Poverty Act to sneak through the Senate, Doug Powers, writing for WorldNetDaily.com made this observation:

"Not long ago, Nigeria's 'anti-corruption commission' -- runner-up in the 'oxymoron of the year' competition, second only to 'U.S. Senate Intelligence' -- found that past rulers of Nigeria have stolen or misused billions of dollars."

"The commission discovered that the amount of money 'missing' adds up to all the Western aid given to Africa in four decades. Obama, Hagel and Cantwell want to throw more at them. Apparently they won't be happy until there are trillions of our tax dollars stolen by crooked leaders and warlords."  [Emphasis Mine]

Unfortunately, the Global Poverty Act is still flying under the radar, but not for long.

There is hope. 

We know, and we can stop this vicious bill -- provided we act RIGHT NOW!
