Unreported violence against pro-lifers

Every time I look around off the main grid, I find more evidence the news industry is forfeiting their role as the watchdog over government in favor of advocacy for leftist policies. In the words of Evan Sayet, "You turn on the evening news and what do you hear? [Lie, lie, lie, spin, spin, lie--and that's the truth.]" Aren't you fed up with the main stream media? Aren't you throwing your TV out yet?

Did you know you can get your entertainment online now? Sites like Hulu give you the same prime time shows you record on your DVR's to watch at a time convenient to your schedule and you don't wind up channel surfing and drifting through another news hour filled with spin and lies to 'inform' you of the information they want you to carry into your next conversation over the state of our society. Turn off the idiot box, rent a movie, or subscribe to a Hulu like site and watch only the stuff you set out to watch then go to your desired source of information. Mine is customized on Twitter. I follow talk show producers to get the latest and most accurate information coming across the world wide web of news wires. Then when a story strikes me as interesting I can go research the topic for myself. It takes much less time than the hour or two you devote to the news cycle in the evening and you choose whom you want to trust with or without bias of party affiliation, agenda, or personal profit. Alan from Dennis Prager's show doesn't get paid to Twitter the latest news, neither do any of the other talk show producers. I know Alan's politics and have a pretty good feel for any agenda he may have. Hugh Hewitt has three college interns who each have Twitter accounts and then there's Duane. Poor Duane. He's so abused. Manpri's in Its a Small World??? Tsk, tsk, tsk. The point is, there are much better sources of information than the morning paper or the evening news. Spend this Independence weekend and set up your Twitter account and locate the radio talk show hosts on Twitter and follow them. When you want to sit down and veg in front of the small screen, simply open your Twitter page and peruse the news in 140 characters or less. If something strikes your fancy, click the often provided links to the story and dig in. Now you're not reliant upon editors and anchors with skewed morals and obligations to their work. You're not relying on people who believe their job is to make the world a better place instead of keeping you informed though that is their occupations' claims.

I'm also able to follow specific politicians. I can see who's running against Barbara Boxer or our hhnk, hmm' esteemed Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi. I can see the progress of follow on election disputes not carried by the MSM or worse, carried with their eloquent 'Republican=EVIL, Democrat=VICTIM advocacy. To date, I'm following a total of 136 politicians, producers, and bloggers. Since I'm not nearly as active on Twitter as elsewhere, I don't have many followers. Perhaps one day I'll have the time to develop a following the way I did here for four months. Smart people keep coming back even if they hate what I have to say and that's the way I like it. I like having the opportunity to challenge what the MSM calls informing you, Joe Q. Public. But I link my Twitter site so you can dig through the names I follow and find those you would like to be informing you.

Some of the things I've learned by doing this are;

The vast majority of gun violence is centralized to the inner cities and is mostly gang and drug related and guns more often stop criminals than enable criminals.

Big business is neither evil nor good, but the end result in the main is "the free market is the most moral system."

Republican party was born on the drive to end slavery and the first blacks to serve in elected positions were elected as and by Republicans.

Same with women and women's rights.

The KKK was born out of the Democrat's attempt to assassinate Republicans, not just blacks.

Republicans established the first national parks.

Republican initiated the first environmental laws.

The environment is vastly cleaner today thanks to the Republican work on regulation, not Democrat.

The Honduran government decided to depose their president because he was setting himself up to be the next Hispanic dictator and that decision was ratified by their Supreme Court. The military were acting in accordance with their government and the decision was made to seat another president from the same party as proof this was NOT a coup. Our president was as fast as Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez to condemn the Honduran military for their coup de' tat. Shame on Barack Obama and on America for electing one who hurriedly defends would be despots.

We would be far better off if government was limited according to the original design of the U.S. Constitution. A discussion I had last night with a former welfare recipient emphasized this point in my mind. Child Protective Services is one of those agencies that need not exist. Because it does exist, neighbors and family members think child abuse is a government problem and not a problem for their community and therefor their responsibility. CPS becomes an ineffective and abusive agency stepping in where they do not belong and not stepping is where they were designed to step in. Welfare helps some few people the agency can then make poster children of, but enables great abuses with limited or no accountability. If these issues were left to the local community to deal with, the local community could and would help and hold the recipients to local accountability.

On and on it goes. You too, can have a new education in a matter of weeks if you'll choose your information services rather than swallow whatever comes across the screen in your living room. That is how Barack Obama got elected.

The premier right the founding fathers concerned themselves with while creating our Constitution was individual Liberty.
Chief among the frames of our culture is this freedom to speech and freedom to assemble. We are a culture entirely dependent on this protection which empowers us to hold all entities, be they government, business moguls or cooperatives, or power brokering NGO's (nongovernmental organizations) accountable for their behavior. One reporter/journalist was attempting to both hold other journalists up to a standard they claim for themselves and gather information to present to the rest of us for our consideration of the press' performance. In the original video this journalist did capture, you can see this is one individual with two cameramen. This venue did not have a crowd protesting the event, there were no crowds of any sort outside the venue. The venue itself was not well attended. For some reason though, the venue producers felt it necessary to set up a barricade against this one reporter with his two cameramen. This took place on a UC campus so the security was provided by the campus police. Through the entire video, there were no more than 12 people present outside this venue, 3 being John and his cameramen, 3 being security personnel, and at least two were members of the venue production team. So we're not talking about an out of control situation for the security, nor are we talking about an abnoxious protester harassing people. This was one journalist asking questions to people who were there to attend this event. Nobody's path was being blocked, nobody's access was being blocked. The plain fact is, the venue providers didn't like this man's message and acted to shut him up. Catch the irony here? A journalist is critical of journalists, and the journalists who purport to value freedom of speech above all else use the police to shut this journalist up. And what was the event this journalist was critical of? It was a Walter Cronkite award for excellence in reporting to Katie Couric for her interview with Sarah Palin last year. What else can be said? This behavior demonstrates the profound hipocrisy of the Main Stream Press. They don't believe in freedom of speech. They don't believe in their self proclaimed journalistic integrity. They are worse than anyone has charged and many charges have been laid at their feet. They are Utopian idealogues. They are political advocates. They are the highest form of hiporcrites. They are the last industry on earth you want feeding you information.

Aggregious examples abound of the advocacy journalism rampant in the MSM industry, but last week one CNN reporter was bald faced about it. CNN is guilty as she is because this woman has worked this way in the recent past. They knew she is an advocate rather than a journalist with integrity and continue to put her on the big news much less any political news, much less any news at all. If anyone wants credibility, they will act in accordance with their own stated guidelines but this is a cancer through the entire industry. Rare examples remain of journalists much less editors and anchors who do hold to the standards the industry has set for itself. Michael Yon for example, funds his own way into battlefield areas to report on the conditions and progress of the war effort. He criticizes and praises commanders and actions as they deserve. He has criticized political leaders and presidents from both Republicans and Democrats. You can find some very good sources online but I have thrown my TV out. I wouldn't pay for a newspaper to line the bottom of a birdcage. It might infect the bird's vocabulary.

Pat Condell - Shame on The Netherlands

Last week the news came out that the Dutch Parliamentarian, Geert Wilders was to be tried for inciting hatred. Inciting hatred!!! The man has to walk around with 24 hour protection from 'angry youths' whom the entire European establishment refuses to identify as aggressive Islamist Muslims, but Geert is the guilty, the offender of law in the Dutch court's eyes. What was his crime? He made a movie depicting the numerous examples of aggressive Islam. That movie was called Fitna. The word is taken from the Qu'ran and translates to 'unbelief.' He has also been very outspoken in his position as a politician and this is what got him elected and this is the cause he has been advocating. In his comments on the floor of their parliament he has been very critical of Islam. For this 'speech' he is being prosecuted due entirely to the fact that the Muslims are so numerous in the Netherlands and becase they are so violent that the government officials and their court officials feel the pressure to put a stop to this 'offense' to Islam.

Pat Condell is a Brit who is very critical of the governmental response to the aggression of Islam. I don't subscribe to this man's politics, (he is quite liberal in his views) but on this one issue, his head is screwed squarely onto his shoulders. In the first video we see him give a heavy and well deserved critique of the Dutch court system and parliament. The following video is proof that our little community approach to filling people in on what the media refuses to do, has reached some few. This poor guy in America has subscribed to Pat's YouTube channel and his video response is incredulity. He is in disbelief that this could happen in the land where the very concept of freedom of speech was born.

"Well, welcome to the land of the conscious. Its well past time you woke from you slumber there Junior."

to defend his religion from all the criticism being leveled against it from the non-Muslim. "Uh, Ali where is the reason in your response. The bald white guy is observing and articulating his anger at an unjust court decision. Islam is a side issue in this case. Islam is forcing the court's hand to be unjust to Mr. Wilders. Islam's aggression is once again the problem and the court is capitulating against their own ideals. Perhaps you should consider turning around and correcting the people who present your religion to us with bombs and guns and whatever they can use instead of addressing Mr. Whitey. Go respond to a jihadist's video instead of knocking somebody who is only pointing out the obvious."

problems. How long before you can not risk being honest with your opinions if you don't want to be targeted by the violent or their proxies, the officials?

Right here in the land of the free, and the home of the brave, speech codes are being implemented on our college campuses. Islamic radicals are invited as visiting professors and the Muslim Student Associans (MSAs) are highly active in shutting down forums with speakers they disagree with. More, this attitude is heartily embraced by all forms of media other than certain well known 'racist' blogs. The Democrat legislators have promised they intend to institute a Fairness Doctrine for talk radio and eventually the internet. You won't even be able to hear views opposing their positions without a direct link either to cable TV or the internet and then only with 'equal' access. Are you ready for this? Are you willing to take the staunching of political debate. We've already got the MSM advocating liberal positions which more often than not, line up with the Muslim arguments against America's involvement in foreign affairs and against any critique of Islam.

I for one will not take any form of speech limitation sitting down. If they write this bill, much less pass it, I'm going to be one violent SOB on political offices and on MSM offices. Take that for what it means. Come and get me for making threats, I'm ready. My speech is my Constitutional right and my talk show host is long down the list of victims of this squelching of free speech, but this will be the first official step and I will answer it in a war like manner if no other recourse is open to me. This is specifically outlined in the Constitution. You take an oath on the entry into your legislative office to protect and defend that Constitution. If you politicians think that I am going to allow you to arbitrarily scribble out those portions you don't like, you will have declared war on me and mine, as far as I'm concerned.

This is why Islamists are finding it so easy to invade and conquer Western nations today. The Liberal left allign with this self proclaimed victim of Western imperialism and we in the West are having to simultaneously fight a war within. Not a hot war, but a war of ideals. Liberals are a fifth column working to crumble the will and strength of our great culture. Liberals are literally creating an ideology of self hatred and it will be the undoing of everything our founding fathers believed, sacrificed wealth and life for.

Pair arrested after McCain sign torched in Sellwood

PORTLAND, Ore. - Authorities have arrested two men after a Molotov cocktail was thrown at a 4-foot by 8-foot campaign sign for Republican presidential candidate John McCain in a southeast Portland yard.

Karen Scrutton said she was asleep inside her home at 7956 S.E. 17th Ave. in the Sellwood neighborhood when she saw her sign go up in flames after 1 a.m.

"I screamed upstairs to my husband, 'Gene! Gene!" she said.

A neighbor heard a crash and chased off one of the suspects. Gene Scrutton said his son-in-law found another suspect not far away.

Not long after, investigators picked up Leslie Brockette Leudtke and Kevin Carl Robinson, both 23. After interviewing them, the pair was charged with four counts each of manufacturing and possession of a destructive device. In addition, Leudtke was charged with a single count of reckless burning.

Witnesses said the suspects threw a Molotov cocktail at the sign and used another as a torch.

The Scruttons worried that their home could have caught on fire.

"Our whole house could have burnt down," Karen Scrutton said while thanking her neighbor for intervening.

Despite the ordeal, she said they won't take the sign down. It suffered only minor damage from the fire.

Update: This story has been determined to be a hoax by the supposed victim. Police managed to get the complainant to confess to filing a false police report. She is being charged for filing that false report.

McCain Worker: Attacker Angered By GOP Sticker

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― Pittsburgh police are investigating after a volunteer for the Republican campaign says she was attacked by a mugger who became enraged after seeing a John McCain bumper sticker on her car last night.

According to police, Ashley Todd, 20, said she was robbed at an ATM at the corner of Liberty Avenue and Pearl Street in the Bloomfield area around 9 p.m. Wednesday after leaving a Republican phone bank.

Todd told police that the suspect, described only as a dark-skinned African-American man about 6'4", stole $60 from her and became enraged after seeing a bumper sticker supporting Republican Presidential Candidate John McCain on her car.

Todd, who is from Texas, said the suspect put a knife to her neck and demanded money.

Todd told police that the man became very angry after noticing the McCain sticker on her car and began punching and kicking her.

After repeatedly hitting, kicking and threatening her, Todd told police that the man carved a "B" in her cheek.

According to the police report, the officer confirmed that he "observed the wound on the right side of [her] face.

Todd declined immediate medical attention last night but said she would go to the hospital today.

The suspect ran off after the attack; but police are hoping that footage from bank surveillance camera may help lead them to the suspect.

In an official statement the McCain campaign says: "We're shaken up by this. It's sick and disgusting."

Governor Sarah Palin reportedly spoke with the victim by phone.

Meanwhile, late this afternoon, the Obama-Biden campaign released a statement, saying: "This is a horrendous act of violence. Our thoughts and prayers are with the young woman for her to make a speedy recovery, and we hope that the person who perpetrated this crime is swiftly apprehended and brought to justice."
