Ever been on the road when another driver is making erratic moves and false signals? You don't know whether to pass him or hang way back and wait for the inevitable accident to occur and all you can do is pray he gets off the road before he hurts himself or worse, somebody else. Have you ever been the one others are looking at as if you got your license from a Cracker Jack box? If we compare these kinds of road experience to the nations of the world, you can look around and see other nations swerving all over the pavement bumping into one another vying for more prominent positions in world economy and military might. Little neighboring countries in Africa are like the cars behind us, they matter because we hate to see others hurt, but we are out of the danger zone. Others are nearer to us and most of them seem to have a steady hand at the wheel. One by one, others are coming up from behind and absolutely have no concern for their own welfare or anyone else's. It used to be that the drivers would take it upon themselves to scare the nuttiness out of those passing carelessly, it used to be that the other passengers in the car being driven so dangerously would take that driver away from the wheel and put in somebody much more careful. Nowadays, the passengers are divided, half cheering him on and the other half sitting quietly and grumbling. Nowadays, the other cars don't want to deal with the nut, so he is zipping by them and making sure everybody on the road is intimidated by him. Often times, there are fights in the front seat over the wheel.

Lately, even though we have been way out front, the rest of the field is watching us wander from right side to left side occasionally jerking onto the left shoulder and skidding back onto the pavement. Now, if you think of years as being minutes, its easy to see how that could be. Every four minutes we are changing drivers and there is always a huge discussion over who the next driver will be. The other drivers had grown accustomed to this and most would hang back whenever it was time to make the switch. Just lately we have the governmental powers fighting over the wheel. The president is supposed to be the one at the wheel. But Congress has been doing its best to usurp the authority of the president to steer the bus in defensive action and aggressive action. Add to that the Supreme court jumping in and pulling the wheel hard to the left working to take the authority to imprison battlefield combatants until war's end. Nobody else on the road wants to work with us to ensure security because they don't know if we'll be a friend or a backstabber in the next few minutes.

So, now its time to choose a new driver again and we need to consider all that this driver is going to have to face. Nobody in the other cars are willing to step up and do something about the gang of cars known as Islamic jihad. This president and this congress will have to make decisions about powers commandeering the wheel and if they don't or won't, we passengers are going to have to hit the brakes and decide for the three powers, who is supposed to drive. Wait! Where did the brake pedal go. Didn't we have one installed when we built this vehicle known as the union of states? The steering wheel is being fought over and we don't have brake pedal? Is anybody in the front seat doing something about this? Is anybody on the bus even concerned enough to sound an alarm?

Okay, so the analogy isn't perfect, but the concern should come through loud and clear. If we don't settle down and work out a clear plan of operation, we very likely will become the former world power. Those who think that would be a good thing are by definition anti-American. Who would step up to ensure the good things America does? Would China act as the world councilor and police for human rights? Do you think the United Nations could do it? Maybe you could place your trust in Islam? Which entity around the world has the muscle or the will to influence the world's drivers to serve their own well and work within the constraints of the rules of the road? No other country or world power has both the power and the will for the job and if we allow Islam or the UN or anybody with enough might to make the rules of the road, this will be a far different world. Islam would create a far more dangerous road by taking other vehicles and using them to their own ends. China would probably do something similar. The UN is basically a subset of Islam. Every other entity is either too weak or has already succumbed to the influence of radical Islam.

Once you put a light on the responsibility of the lead position, you begin to see how tenuous is the role we play in world politics and the consequences of dropping that responsibility begin to look more ominous than the 2nd amendment or a marriage certificate for homosexuals. This election will literally decide whether we place more judges who will fight for the wheel or more judges who will take the roll the builders and planners designed for them, whether we have a Congress who help and back the driver or are also pulling and fighting for the wheel. The parties have drawn clear lines on who will take the wheel from the assigned driver and who will support the decision making structure as designed by the original driver and navigators. I suggest you vote for a conservative veteran this election, whether for president or for Congress.

The last paragraph of the Declaration of Independence

We, therefore,
the Representatives of the United States of America, in General

Sent to President George Bush
Senator Barbara Boxer
Senator Diane Feinstein
Representative John Campbell

This current body of Congress is so far from the Constitutional values that you care not one whit for the founding fathers' intentions. As Col Crockett once said, "The revenues in the government's coffers are not the politicians' to give." (paraphrased) Meaning, charity is the responsibility of individual choice and the citizen gets no reward in heaven for a tax that is used for benevolence. In the same way, writing laws that make philanthropy a required behavior will find no reward in heaven. You must bring grandiose spending programs to a close and stick to the job Congress is supposed to be doing according to the original design as written down in the U.S. Constitution. Defend the United States and ensure the liberties of the people. We are a benevolent people, but requiring benevolence in the form of taxes makes us reluctant and resentful givers.

Currently, high taxes and gas prices are crushing this economy. Your addiction to oil revenue is poison to the future of this country. Last year (1) one oil company paid more taxes than 2/3 of all private income tax revenues. You must free up technology called 'overunity' which cannot be taxed by usage. Either our economy will crash or our court system will crumble under Islamic pressure. Correct the tax system on oil revenue and deregulate overunity technology, and correct theocratic invasion of our courts and legislatures. Correct religious speech inciting to violent overthrow of this governing system. Correct the influx of religious literature inciting to violence against innocent civilians going to the mosques as free resources for Islam from the House of Saud.

Democrats, stop playing political football with national security and the greatest struggle since Nazism and Fascism tried to rule the world. Islamic factions are trying to rule the world by terror and intimidation. Our troops are facing an encouraged enemy because of your political game and this is a repeat of your behavior in regard to Viet Nam. Not every Democrat, of course, but as a party and certainly individuals have gone way too far and have not recanted, have not apologized, and have not resolved to inform the enemy that he is wrong. The proof of your traitorous behavior is found in the conversation between the opposing generals decades after the Viet Namese conflict was over. The enemy never won a battle on the ground but listening to our news and media they knew all they had to do was hang on and you politicians would defeat our will to fight there for them. Now you are verifying Osama's description of the American will. You and he are wrong. Bloggers like me will not let you do that to our troops and to our fighting spirit again. In this, you are blatantly traitorous and should in no way represent U.S. interests.
http://judgeright.vox.com/

This letter was originally sent by a constituent to:
Senator John Cornyn
Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison
Congressman Sam Johnson
http://snooper.vox.com/library/post/my-letter-to-my-representatives.html#comment-6a00e398d45faf000300fa967a05ca0003
You have been staunch supporters of our military and the Global War On Terror. For that, I thank you but I would appreciate it if you would relay a message to the very few Conservatives that remain in the very Dishonorable Halls of what was once an Honorable Congress.

There was a time when the Representatives and Senators actually cared about what their constituents in their respective districts cared about. Not any longer. They care more about deals between each other in order to garner support for their pet projects whatever and where ever they may be. They care more about the "squeaking wheel" and take that noise as the thought of the day.

There was a time when True American Patriotism reigned supreme. Not any longer. Patriotism has been swept aside by the cancer of Political Correctness. Patriotism has been buried by the sclerosis of Multiculturalism. Patriotism has been nullified by the mental disorder of Identity Politics. Patriotism has been crucified at the altar of Diversity.

There was a time when God, Country and Flag were the rallying calls. Not any longer. Surely the dead from wars past are churning in their resting places. Sometimes I often wonder why I bothered to serve my nation if all that is to come of it is to watch politicians hang us out to dry and give the country away to those that are undeserving of it.

There was once a time when the political leaders of this land actually justified their legislation by the United States Constitution. Not any longer. Now, legislation is based on emotions and wrangling of votes to remain in power no matter the consequences, long or short term.

There was a time when political leaders considered the ramifications of legislation using the long-term results and forward thinking. Not any longer. Now, everything in DC is done on the fly and most members think short-term to collect votes in the next election cycle. This is a sad state of affairs. It is also damaging to our nation and as caused damage beyond comprehension.

As you know, back in 1963, the following was read into the Congressional Record: Communist Goals (1963) read into the Congressional Record--Appendix, pp. A34-A35 January 10, 1963; Current Communist Goals, EXTENSION OF REMARKS OF HON. A. S. HERLONG, JR. OF FLORIDA IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES; Thursday, January 10, 1963. I call it The List of 45.

Through the years hence, there have been scores of legislation passed that has zero foundation in the United States Constitution...Socialist Security which was robbed blind by the way, Welfare, Unemployment Insurance (one of the biggest jokes in my life-time), Abortion, Medicaid, Medicare, Prescription Drugs for the Elderly..and scores more. All of them are noble but the Federal Government should not be playing the controlling role nor the implementation of such programs. FDR started that socialist ball rolling and LBJ set it afire once more during his disastrous role as President.

The Federal Government has allowed the Judiciary run amok when by our Constitution, the Congress dictates to the court that which they will "review". The Federal Government has usurped the authority of the States time and time again, via the Judiciary. The Judiciary has dictated to the various States that their State Laws that their Legislators enacted as unconstitutional by an authority of which they do not possess. Why is that?

We are at a crossroads in this nation. Do we go or do we stay? Is the nation going by the way of Stalin, Lenin or Khrushchev? Will the political leaders of this nation allow the Stalinists take us from within or are we going to fight? In case you haven't noticed, the Jihadists are utilizing the same List of 45. CAIR proponents and leaders have stated that they will take the United States not by force but by re-education.

We have Jihadist Compounds throughout the United States teaching Jihad...Islamberg being one of them. Are you not paying attention or is it the fact that it isn't politically correct to identify the enemy? The only "radical Muslim" is the Muslim that doesn't practice Islam. The enemy we are fighting at this very moment and have been fighting since the early 1970s are practicing their religion and their religion teaches murder, rape and slavery. The Jihadists declared war on the United States years ago but no one was listening except those of us that were in battle...I find that unacceptable and perplexing all at the same time.

If you recall, Jihadists in this nation advocate the overthrow of this nation and have stated in the public domain that they will use our Constitution against us. Where have we heard this before? Are you paying attention or is the next voting cycle more important to you...personally.

Just once, I would like to hear of a politician actually demand of other politicians what the basis of their proposed legislation gets its Constitutional Authority. Just once I would like to see the proponents of Earmark and Pork Spending impeached for raping the American People. Just once I would like to see and hear politicians go out on a limb and drive the point home that this war - that we did not start - is a matter of our survival as a nation.

There are many parallels between the socialist/communist doctrine and Islamic Fascism doctrine and the Leftinistra - the armies of the socialist liberal - are great at passing that same doctrine off onto Conservatives. Just once I would like to have a Conservative politician call them on their garbage...if any had any moral courage and moral fortitude to do so.

Every single "liberal" piece of legislation has ended in dismal failure yet they do not call for redeployment. The War On Poverty has what? Failed? Yes, it has. The War On Drugs has what? Failed? Yes it has. There are many more such "liberal" failures yet we keep watching the Conservatives all in the name of detente with the socialist liberal back down and let them waltz all over them. Ronald Wilson Reagan must be sorely ashamed of those he entrusted with his legacy. I am. And I find it disheartening to say the least.

We watch as anti-Americanist organizations such as Code Pink finance our enemies to the tune of over $600,000. And this goes unchallenged because why? I call it cowardice. What do you call it? We watch former Presidents trash this country to our enemies and befriend our enemies and this goes unchallenged why? I call it cowardice.

I watch and listen to the current crop of DNC Presidential Aspirants trash this nation in public forums all in the name of what? Political gain? Political football? And they go unchallenged because why? Conservatives don't want to make waves why? No matter the answer you may get, I call it cowardice. They fear the media. They fear "bad press". I fear for my nation. I fear blood in the streets. The enemy is hear amongst us and the politicians play football with our lives and our nation all in the name of political gain and power. This is a travesty second to none and is quite unacceptable.

Perhaps, one day, we will have an Honorable Congress once more. Hopefully, it will be in my lifetime.

I have a son that has recently returned from serving in Iraq and I had another that was going to serve until he started paying attention to the "idiots in the media" and the "morons in DC". Those were his words. He said that he is going to be needed back here Stateside with the Jihad hits the fan here at home. And, it will if our Dishonorable Congress maintains the current track it is on.

When the cowards in DC allow the Leftinistra to run amok, I question their motives and Patriotism. I often wonder what it is they are patriotic towards and to whom or what they swear their allegiance. It certainly is not We The People.

There is "Two Americas" and we hear the Leftinistra prattle and yammer about uniting the country. But, who wants to unite under the banner of the United Socialist States of America? I shall not. I swore an Oath many moons ago to protect and serve this nation and to fight the enemy, both foreign and domestic. It would be nice if our Congress would do the same.

It is time to fight the Enemy Within and to declare that enemy a Clear and Present Danger.

Weekly Standard is almost on the same page...and Politico...

This right here is exactly what I am talking about...2 places at Memeorandum...here and here.

The idiot that is Obama criticized President Bush for criticizing Iran. What a FOOLISH imp Barack Dumbo Ears Obammy is. Jerk.

More shining examples are at Hot Air, Rodents and Asswipes, An Idiot With a Gun?,

Over at the American Thinker, Joseph Meyers wrote an article that demonstrates our self defeat and schizophrenia called the Strategic Collapse in the War. He makes no bones about the government's dualistic role in our diplomacy with Islam. One hand prosecutes aggression against them while the other invites them to participate in our defense structure. We cannot win this struggle until the enemy is identified and a coherent strategy is in place to overcome their stated intentions to rule the world by violence and terror. I have little hope that the next president will do any better. It seems that nobody in Washington is yet taking the threat of global jihadism seriously beyond pointing the military at factions and ignoring, completely the rest of their actions to undermine our culture. Half of our citizenry not only don't recognize the threat, but are actively blaming our government for Muslim militaristic aggression. Most of the rest are ill informed of the threat's depth and breadth. Courts are over stepping their authority and are undermining our legislative efforts, few though they are, (wire taps from overseas to overseas calls) to protect us from national security threats, news media are actively undermining our strategic policy by publishing military secrets and so few military (abu Graib) embarrassments, one major political party is selling us out for their own political gain by calling the war unnecessary (John Kerry, Nancy Pelosi) and accusing our military of great (John Murtha) evils, and still, Islam marches on into our schools, our courts, our legislature, and even our lands (Dearborn Michigan) with no go areas popping up in our own cities. How far from pathetic does this threat have to get before we wake up and begin to act with any seriousness?

I am going to a meeting tomorrow night to participate in monitoring and reporting Muslim activism in my neighborhood. I hope you will join or start one in your neighborhood and begin to report Islamist works in your schools, in your courts, and in your city councils and state legislatures. This threat will not be met with responsibility by those in Washington until those on Main Street meet it with responsibility of their own. When abuse reports begin to mount to the heavens, and when the people recognize losses in rights that are occurring today and have been for years, when we begin to answer ridiculous charges with factual cases in local areas, then the anti-war crowd will be shut down, then the milk toast voter who doesn't have time to investigate what the politicians aim for, will begin to make time and make a difference. Please go to ACT For America and register. If there isn't already a group to join, make one for your local area. While we're at it, we should be reporting Communist activities in these same bodies. California has it within its laws that it is illegal to inculcate school children with Communist ideologies. They should be reported and prosecuted and the teachers who promote it should be fired and barred from working with children for life.

We are funding both sides of this war through our oil addiction. We have to change the legislative body's addiction to oil revenues which from one company last year amounted to 2/3 the income tax revenue. One oil company's tax paid to the government last year was equivalent to 2/3 of the total income tax revenue. Is it any wonder that the government has either actively hampered technology that can free us from oil addiction or has failed to protect new technology that would free us from oil addiction? It is time to take back our government from politicians who cannot deal with the greater danger of petro-dollars funding the war against us on military, litigious, education, religious exercise, and legislative grounds. Vote for a veteran this election. Vote John Murtha and his ilk out of office.

http://www.iraqvetsforcongress.com/

Chuck Grassley accuses House Democrats of being reluctant to allow the
government to track foreign terror suspects, demonstrating to him that
they don't seem to want to stop those threats.

Before
leaving for its Easter recess, the House approved its version of the
Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, also known as FISA. President
Bush rejects Democrats' new version of the bill because it does not
provide legal protections for telecommunications companies that have
helped the administration conduct surveillance on foreign terror
suspects. The president backs a bipartisan Senate-approved version of
FISA.

Senator Grassley (R-Iowa) says FISA was critical in helping the
government thwart terror plots to blow up the Holland Tunnel in New
York and a building in Los Angeles. "We've been able to track
terrorists' telephone conversations under this law," he says, "and it's
going to run out if we don't get it renewed."

Grassley explains why he does not like how the House amended FISA.
"They're going to put roadblocks into our FBI and security agencies'
tracking [of] terrorist phone calls," he argues, "and we need to be on
top of terrorists' communications because we have found out that we've
been able to intervene and prevent terrorist activity."

He says because of FISA, the government also was able to recently put a
stop to a terrorist plot to blow up American defense facilities in
Germany.

The House, says the Iowa lawmaker, should have gone along with the
Senate version. "[B]ecause what we did ... was a bipartisan approach,"
he states. "In the House they tend to be more partisan. Democrats don't
seem to want to track terrorists."]
http://www.onenewsnow.com/Security/Default.aspx?id=72899

To: United States Congress

From: Vietnam Veterans Legacy Foundation

Re: Iraq
		Veterans Against the War

Later
this week a group calling themselves "Iraq Veterans Against the War" (IVAW) plan
a march on Washington, DC, similar to the one staged in April, 1971 by their
forebears, "Vietnam Veterans Against the War" (VVAW). Like their
predecessors, IVAW will claim that several in their group have either
participated in or witnessed war crimes committed by their fellow American
troops in Iraq. According to news reports, the IVAW intends to have their
claims of war crimes read into the Congressional Record.

Before
you listen to or acknowledge them, you would do well to fact-check their
stories, verify that the accusers actually served in combat units in
Iraq at the times they claim, and determine if there is any support for
and corroborating evidence of their war crime and atrocity
claims. Many members of Congress were embarrassed by the VVAW some 37
years ago because they failed to conduct any investigation, instead accepting
		these allegations without question.

In
April, 1971, "testimonies" of some 116 VVAW members alleged
heinous war crimes and abuses, reportedly known and approved by the entire U.S.
chain of command. These "testimonies" were first read into the
Congressional Record on April 5, and later repeated in a high-profile hearing conducted
by the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. None of the persons presenting war
crimes "testimonies" were ever put under oath, and none of their
allegations were challenged or questioned by Congress. Members of Congress who were looking for
a way out of the war in Vietnam were only too eager to accept those
"testimonies" to step up anti-war sentiment and justify withdrawing
all U.S. troops and de-funding support to our Vietnamese allies. As a result,
the outrageous claims made in the so called "Winter Soldier investigations"
and repeated before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee became the popular
history of the Vietnam War, embellished by Hollywood and the mainstream media,
and promulgated as fact by the majority of academia to this day.

Our
foundation, the Vietnam Veterans Legacy Foundation, which consists primarily of POWs
who were held in prison in N.Vietnam, has investigated every one of the
116 "Winter Soldier" accusers. None that we can find has ever proved that they
saw or committed a war crime. Our Chairman, Col Bud Day, MoH, would welcome the opportunity to present our
		findings to you for review.

At the
cost of more than 58,000 Americans killed and over 200,000 wounded in Vietnam,
we succeeded in defeating the communist insurgency and drove the defeated North
Vietnamese Army back to the communist-controlled part of the country. However,
in 1974, the U.S. Congress legislated defeat by cutting off all funding and military
assistance to the Republic of Vietnam while at the same time China and the USSR
were providing record amounts of military aid to the communist North.

Today,
fraudulent war-crimes claims are being circulated and given unquestioned
credibility by certain Members of Congress and the mainstream media. The VVLF intends
to expose these unfair accusations against our troops in Iraq. The American
people have the right to know the truth, as it was then, and as it is now. More
importantly, they need to be alerted to the grave danger faced by our country
if we elect officials who have declared their intention to repeat the worst mistake
of the Vietnam War: legislating defeat.

Respectfully,

Former Vietnam
		POWs: Col George "Bud" Day, MoH; Col Ken Cordier; Cdr Paul Galanti;

Capt
Dick Stratton; Mary Jane McManus, POW wife; 1LT Bob McMahon, and SP4 Wally Nunn

The Vietnam War... You know someone who served
		— maybe it was your husband, your father, your grandfather, your uncle, your
neighbor... or maybe it was you. Now you can help us preserve the legacy of the
courageous men and women who fought for our country in Vietnam. It’s time to
give our Vietnam Vets the support and honor they deserve, and to educate those
who have been deceived about the war. We want to provide a place where people
can gain access to the truth, to the history and to the men and women who were
there, fighting, sacrificing and just trying to stay alive.

Help us tell their story and continue the work
	of setting the record straight.
