Ever since Jeremiah Wright's outlandish sermons came out and got Obummer in all this hot water the liberals have been trying to glue a controversial pastor to John McCain. I am still no fan of John McCain but this is ridiculous. John McCain's pastor is not John Hagee or Rod Parsley though I would not be ashamed to call either of them my pastor. Every public speaker makes gaffs, so I wouldn't call anybody out on one statement which was then retracted. There is a clear difference between somebody sitting in a church for twenty + years and a candidate who was endorsed by a pastor who has made a couple of controversial statements which, if they weren't being tied to a political candidate would never have been noticed outside their church. John Hagee made a statement about Catholics that was then taken out of context and made into something it was never meant to portray. Then he made another statement that didn't offend Jews but Liberals got all bent out of shape that they would have been offended if they were Jewish. So Hagee apologized and retracted his statement. Now its Rod Parsley. Rod made some statements in a sermon which can be interpreted to be hateful toward Islam. His statements were not inaccurate, inflammatory maybe, but definitely accurate with regard to the scriptures and with regard to the behavior of Muslims. So, McCain rejected both Hagee's and Parsley's endorsements. But let's be clear here. McCain has never attended either Hagee's or Parsley's churches much less been baptized by them or referred to them as his mentors and certainly has not sat under their tutelage for twenty years. So who is John McCain's pastor? This link will take you to an article by Hans Nichols that should tell you all you want to know about John McCain's relationship with his pastor of the last 15 years.

This stretching and gluing exercise by the media and the liberal politico stunt coordinators is so flagrantly in our face obvious, this has no chance of doing anything but further hurting the Obama camp and discrediting the media propagating for them. Give it up people, you are beating the wrong horse and the horse you want isn't deserving of a beating. Dan Yeary of the North Phoenix Baptist Church is a pretty conservative pastor in a pretty conservative church. I'm pretty sure the Obama camp vetted him as soon as the Jeremiah Wright brouhaha came to light. Nothin' to see here people, move along. Try to find something worthwhile to criticize McCain for instead of trying to match nut berger for racist, seperatist, campaign torpedoing Wright.
I am more concerned that John McCain is tossing overboard good people rather than taking a stand against smear tactics and slander of good men who have shown him nothing but encouragement and support. Boo on you John McCain for wet noodle spineless appeasement to the liberal smear machine. If you can't stand up to these mealy mouthed attacks what does that say about your ability to stand up against actual threats to American values and traditions much less foreign political powers. This is the problem conservatives have had with our own politicians in Washington. Stand up and fight for what is right and good in this country. All of you Republican politicians need to grow a spine and get into the fray and make a difference in the propaganda wars. Get our message out. Get our ideals back in. What are you running from? This is the fight we hire you for.

Dear JudgeBob, As predictable as the sun coming up in the East, a spokesman for an Islamic organization has condemned Congresswoman Sue Myrick’s “Ten Point Plan” to wake up America to the threat of Islamic terrorism. Just as predictably, the “condemnation” makes no attempt to refute the plan or make a factual case against it. The reason, as so aptly pointed out below, is that the Muslim spokesman cannot refute the plan. Thus, the “condemnation” consists of the same tired, worn-out, name calling and ad hominem attacks that are standard fare for Islamic apologists. It’s an age-old propaganda technique – if you can’t refute the message, try to destroy the messenger. We should be encouraged by this lame attempt to smear an honorable Congresswoman. It should motivate us to work even harder to spread the truth about Islamofascism far and wide! The more people see the truth, the more they will recognize that those who try to defend militant Islam have nothing to offer except, well, fear-mongering and name-calling. Shock horror: Muslim leader condemns Myrick anti-jihad plan! http://www.jihadwatch.org/archives/020830.php "'Myrick's latest attempt at fighting terrorism is nothing more than a fear campaign,' said Jibril Hough, a spokesman for the Islamic Center of Charlotte. 'It is nothing more than a new McCarthyism, or Myrickism. As Muslims, we have become expendable as politicians like Myrick seek political gain.' "Myrick said she wants the group to give a point-by-point rebuttal of her plan." Yes, that would be most interesting. What could Jibril Hough say? Let's go through the Myrick Plan and see: 1. Investigate all military chaplains endorsed by Abdurahman Alamoudi, who was imprisoned for funding a terrorist organization. Alamoudi is doing 23 years for funding jihad terrorism. Is it possible that some of the military chaplains he endorsed shared his jihadist views? Can Jibril Hough explain why not? 2. Investigate all prison chaplains endorsed by Alamoudi. Same question as for #1. 3. Investigate the selection process of Arabic translators working for the Pentagon and the FBI. An FBI whistleblower has reported that Arabic translators there cheered the 9/11 attacks. Can Jibril Hough explain why this should not be a cause for concern? 4. Examine the non-profit status of the Council on American-Islamic Relations. The Council on American-Islamic Relations has had several of its officials convicted on jihad terror-related charges, and was named an unindicted co-conspirator in a Hamas funding case. Can Jibril Hough explain why its tax-exempt status should not at least be examined? 5. Make it an act of sedition or solicitation of treason to preach or publish materials that call for the deaths of Americans. Objections, Mr. Hough? 6. Audit sovereign wealth funds in the United States. If these funds may be used to conduct warfare against the U.S., what exactly is Mr. Hough's objection? 7. Cancel scholarship student visa program with Saudi Arabia until they reform their text books, which she claims preach hatred and violence against non-Muslims. It is demonstrably true that they do. Does Mr. Hough endorse this? 8. Restrict religious visas for imams who come from countries that don't allow reciprocal visits by non-Muslim clergy. This is simply in the interests of mutual tolerance and understanding, is it not, Mr. Hough? 9. Cancel contracts to train Saudi police and security in U.S. counterterrorism tactics. Given ongoing Saudi financing of the global jihad, what exactly is Mr. Hough's objection? 10. Block the sale of sensitive military munitions to Saudi Arabia. Same question as #9. But I doubt that Hough will provide a point-by-point refutation, for the same reason that John Esposito will not debate me. What can they say?
