If you are not familiar with the story of Kevin Kammerdiener and his trek into the Army and Afghanistan and back you are missing an important one. Kevin was injured by a suicide attack on his convoy and his single mom (Leslie Kamm) had started this blog prior to his deployment. I have linked this to the beginning page as the whole thing should be read in chronological order starting 24th February 2008. So you'll have to read from the bottom up to get it in the appropriate chronological order. It is a journal detailing everything from attending his Airborne jump class and graduation to receiving the news of his injuries through present day struggles and progress in recovery. This is an important story being lived by thousands of our brave men and women and their families and rarely told via the major media outlets. Please take the time to familiarize yourself with this very uncommon journal of very common stories of our military volunteers' and their families' sacrifices for our freedom and security. It is a journey you will not want to miss.
For those with shorter attention spans, this video relates visually the modus operendi of the survivor mentality. When the worst thing you can imagine has happened and there is nothing left but the consequences, you can either give in and let your life pass before your eyes, or you can take whatever options left available to you and do with them what you can. You might be amazed at how well you come out of it. In other words, sitting their like a victim and letting the inevitable happen ensures your victimhood. Fight it! Fight it to the bitter end and write your own destiny for as long as you possibly can. You can always deal with the victimhood after the opportunity to fight is passed.
Equally, we have to keep up the message to the political leaders to do their jobs and keep us safe from threats foreign and domestic. I am speaking specifically of the Islamization of our culture and government as well as the obvious defense against Islamo-Nazi terrorist attacks. I have demonstrated in earlier posts the invasive and dominating nature of Islam into other cultures. This is not just a religion as Christianity and Judaism and hundreds of others. This is a theocratic political system of governance forcing its will on the host states. The only reason they get traction in the Western world is because the Western world is divided between those who would force any tolerance except religion and those who have actual tolerance toward other lifestyles and religions. This one religion is being opposed by the peace loving religions because it has a record, a history of intolerance toward any other religion or world view. But, with the main stream religious world view opposing both the Islamic invasion and the anti-tolerant tolerance squad, they have joined forces to oppose the majority values voters in the party of defeat. The party who wanted to withdraw from the fight we are winning and snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Bear in mind that we are still the main stream world view in this country. The defense of family values proves that. Unfortunately the loss of the presidential election was more about answering charges of racism than about the answer to current issues both nationally and internationally.
We have to stay involved in the fight for our values and for the defense of this nation and the ideals of her founding fathers. We must be focused on this fight for a while, until those forces which would tear them down are convinced it is a losing battle, or we will lose the rights to say what we believe, to live what we believe, and to protect those ideals through the courts and legislature. May God bless America under the original ideals of liberty, e pluribus unum, (from many, one) and In God We Trust. Don't let the sacrifices of our military volunteers like Kevin Kammerdiener and their families be in vain. If you are active, stay active. If you are not active in the defense of those founding ideals, get active. If you are tired of the fight, take a vacation and gather your wits, but never, ever give up.
Dennis Prager wrote an important piece on his blog over at Town Hall. In it, he discusses the interviews MSM has done with our conservative candidate for Vice President. Our media with an important role to play in America's politics, as important or more than the politicians they cover, is conveyor of information on our nightly news and has been for years the main venue through which the average voter is informed of current events. In such an important role Dennis proposes the reporters need to be vetted every bit as much as the candidates they cover. How would they fare under the same scrutiny they put some of the politicians under? One tiny example follows:
Q: Members of the news media believe, correctly, that individuals running for political office, because of their potentially great impact on American life, should subject themselves to interview after interview about their views, values, personal life and knowledge base by often hostile members of the news media. But, the most powerful members of the news media, people who have more impact on American life than almost any politician in America, do not allow themselves to be interviewed about their views, values, personal life and knowledge of the issues. Why not?
I submit to you that the media must be scrutinized in the same way we do candidates for the presidency. Else, how do we know what their bias will do to their reporting. In several recent examples, the media have been very critical of limited access to Sarah Palin while simultaneously blitzing the Republican campaign with highly unethical treatment of Sarah Palin in the few interviews they were granted. Both Katie Couric and John Gibson went into those interviews with the intention of making her look as little, as poor a candidate as they possibly could. Using camera tricks, editing tricks and a questioning style intended to belittle her knowledge and composure for the task at hand.
The main stream media are harming themselves in their effort to sway this election. They don't care. They don't care that their numbers are falling, and they don't care that you are finding out about their bias. They don't care because they are shooting for the moon or rather, the monopoly of information venues. If Harry Reid controls the House of Representatives and Nancy Pelosi controls the Senate and if Barack Obama is President, then the Fairness Doctrine legislation is a shoe in. Once they've passed that into law and shut the Right Wing Conservative radio voice down they can turn their attention to the blogs. Yes the blogs, that's you and me talking on the internet about all the evil doings in government and world events. How can they shut up the blogs? Well they've already designed something called 'Hate Speech' legislation. There are no checks and balances in a filibuster proof liberal controlled Congress and a liberal president to sign the legislation. That means somebody in a liberal controlled government is going to be making decisions on what you can say or write on the internet or in any public forum, for that matter. What happens to the TV news and the big Newpapers then? They go back to being the only major source of information in our society. They won't have to compete with Rush Limbaugh and Matt Drudge. Instead we will be forced to spend a lot of money to get the true story or just swallow whatever the big three want you to believe. Your ability to be informed in the future depends entirely on your willingness to be informed for this election. If McCain wins this election the press will be commenting in their editor circles, "If it weren't for those meddling bloggers, we would have gotten away with it." About like the villains in the old Scooby Doo cartoons when they've been caught and the disguise is finally pulled off their head.
And this just in from Ireland:
What do we know about Barack Obama? Ok, we know he is for change. We know he can give a pretty good speech as long as there is a teleprompter to work from. But what do we know? We know that he can take instruction from his campaign advisers. In my article, 'Obama missed it by that much' I noted his variance with Christian understanding of faith and salvation but this past weekend when asked by Pastor Rick Warren, he had quite another understanding of faith and salvation.
Concrete Bob over at DC Protest Warrior has been working on this for a while with a few other folks. I've been monitoring their progress for a couple of months now. Then a couple of weeks ago, this email was sent to one of my colleagues who passed it on to me. Included are pictures of Obama's family in Kenya, he and his father in his father's one visit to Hawaii, he and his mother, he and his white grandparents, he and his adoptive father, and a couple of pictures from 2006 of him stumping in Kenya for his cousin Odinga. (A radical Muslim who after losing his bid for the presidency of Kenya, went on to commit heinous crimes in persecution of Kenyan Christians.) Here is a link to an earlier article I wrote about Obama and his affiliations with radical elements both here in the U.S. and in Kenya. I wrote about his attempt to subjugate American sovereignty to the corrupt and feckless U.N. I wrote about the corruption of the U.N.
Now, the question comes up about his birth certificate. It has been closely examined by professionals in forensics of documents and found to be fake. Its likely that he holds dual citizenship with Indonesia and may not be an American citizen at all. Two different hospitals in Hawaii claim he was born within their walls? Is one or are both sets of records faked? And Obama will not release his information. In fact, he has been working to hide much of his personal record.
Who is this guy and how did he manage to run for community organizer much less leader of the free world? The man has not been vetted. This just goes to show how irresponsible the Democrat Party really is and how irresponsible the nation has become. The press are not asking the questions the Dems should have expected. And now, not even their opposition is willing to ask these basic questions for a man who is running for the highest seat of power in the land. The audacity of hope? Its so audacious that professional politicians don't even know how to challenge this invisible man's missing record. My dad would have been very impressed with Barack's audacity.

UPDATE: Over at the America's Right blog, Jeff Schreiber is working very hard to keep us all up to date on the latest information available. His site is recommended by NewsBusters who are featuring the story because you will not hear about the lawsuit in the main stream media but it is all over the blogosphere. Again it is the blogs that do the real reporting and leave the puff pieces to the news crews' talking heads. Anyway, Jeff is posting almost hourly as he researches and interviews those involved. Here's the latest post:

UPDATE on Berg v. Obama Lawsuit
9:35pmI just got off the phone with Philip Berg, asked some easy questions and some tough ones. I'm no Chris Matthews--for starters, the sight of Barack Obama does not send a chill up my leg--but I think I did a fair job. Keep checking America's Right for the Q&A once I've had a chance to put everything together.
While walking down the street one day a US senator is tragically hit by a truck and dies. His soul arrives in heaven and is met by St. Peter at the entrance. "Welcome to heaven," says St. Peter. "Before you settle in, it Seems there is a problem. We seldom see a high official around these parts, you see, so we're not sure what to do with you." "No problem, just let me in," says the senator. "Well, I'd like to, but I have orders from higher up. What we'll do is have you spend one day in hell and one in heaven. Then you can choose where to spend eternity." "Really, I've made up my mind. I want to be in heaven," says the senator. "I'm sorry, but we have our rules." And with that, St. Peter escorts him to the elevator and he goes down, down, down to hell. The doors open and he finds himself in the middle of a green golf Course. In the distance is a clubhouse and standing in front of it are all his friends and other politicians who had worked with him. Everyone is very happy and in evening dress. They run to greet him, shake his hand, and reminisce about the good times they had while getting rich at the Expense of the people. They play a friendly game of golf and then dine on lobster, caviar and champagne. Also present is the devil, who really is a very friendly guy who has a good time dancing and telling jokes. They are having such a good time that before he Realizes it, it is time to go. Everyone gives him a hearty farewell and waves while the elevator rises ... The elevator goes up, up, up and the door reopens on heaven where St. Peter is waiting for him. "Now it's time to visit heaven." So, 24 hours pass with the senator joining a group of contented souls moving from cloud to cloud, playing the harp and singing. They have a good time and, Before he realizes it, the 24 hours have gone by and St. Peter returns. "Well, then, you've spent a day in hell and another in heaven. Now choose your eternity." The senator reflects for a minute, then answers: "Well, I would never have said it before, I Mean heaven has been delightful, but I think I would be better off in hell." So St. Peter escorts him to the elevator and he goes down, down, down to hell. Now the doors of the elevator open and he's in the middle of a barren land covered with waste and garbage. He sees all his friends, dressed in rags, picking up the trash and putting it in black bags as more trash falls from above... The devil comes over to him and puts his arm around his shoulder. "I don't understand," stammers the senator. "Yesterday I was here and there was a golf course and clubhouse, and we ate lobster and caviar, drank champagne, and danced and had a great time. Now there's just a wasteland full of garbage and my friends look miserable. What happened?" The devil looks at him, smiles and says....... "Yesterday we were campaigning. Today you voted."
Ever since Jeremiah Wright's outlandish sermons came out and got Obummer in all this hot water the liberals have been trying to glue a controversial pastor to John McCain. I am still no fan of John McCain but this is ridiculous. John McCain's pastor is not John Hagee or Rod Parsley though I would not be ashamed to call either of them my pastor. Every public speaker makes gaffs, so I wouldn't call anybody out on one statement which was then retracted. There is a clear difference between somebody sitting in a church for twenty + years and a candidate who was endorsed by a pastor who has made a couple of controversial statements which, if they weren't being tied to a political candidate would never have been noticed outside their church. John Hagee made a statement about Catholics that was then taken out of context and made into something it was never meant to portray. Then he made another statement that didn't offend Jews but Liberals got all bent out of shape that they would have been offended if they were Jewish. So Hagee apologized and retracted his statement. Now its Rod Parsley. Rod made some statements in a sermon which can be interpreted to be hateful toward Islam. His statements were not inaccurate, inflammatory maybe, but definitely accurate with regard to the scriptures and with regard to the behavior of Muslims. So, McCain rejected both Hagee's and Parsley's endorsements. But let's be clear here. McCain has never attended either Hagee's or Parsley's churches much less been baptized by them or referred to them as his mentors and certainly has not sat under their tutelage for twenty years. So who is John McCain's pastor? This link will take you to an article by Hans Nichols that should tell you all you want to know about John McCain's relationship with his pastor of the last 15 years.

This stretching and gluing exercise by the media and the liberal politico stunt coordinators is so flagrantly in our face obvious, this has no chance of doing anything but further hurting the Obama camp and discrediting the media propagating for them. Give it up people, you are beating the wrong horse and the horse you want isn't deserving of a beating. Dan Yeary of the North Phoenix Baptist Church is a pretty conservative pastor in a pretty conservative church. I'm pretty sure the Obama camp vetted him as soon as the Jeremiah Wright brouhaha came to light. Nothin' to see here people, move along. Try to find something worthwhile to criticize McCain for instead of trying to match nut berger for racist, seperatist, campaign torpedoing Wright.
I am more concerned that John McCain is tossing overboard good people rather than taking a stand against smear tactics and slander of good men who have shown him nothing but encouragement and support. Boo on you John McCain for wet noodle spineless appeasement to the liberal smear machine. If you can't stand up to these mealy mouthed attacks what does that say about your ability to stand up against actual threats to American values and traditions much less foreign political powers. This is the problem conservatives have had with our own politicians in Washington. Stand up and fight for what is right and good in this country. All of you Republican politicians need to grow a spine and get into the fray and make a difference in the propaganda wars. Get our message out. Get our ideals back in. What are you running from? This is the fight we hire you for.

Dear JudgeBob, As predictable as the sun coming up in the East, a spokesman for an Islamic organization has condemned Congresswoman Sue Myrick’s “Ten Point Plan” to wake up America to the threat of Islamic terrorism. Just as predictably, the “condemnation” makes no attempt to refute the plan or make a factual case against it. The reason, as so aptly pointed out below, is that the Muslim spokesman cannot refute the plan. Thus, the “condemnation” consists of the same tired, worn-out, name calling and ad hominem attacks that are standard fare for Islamic apologists. It’s an age-old propaganda technique – if you can’t refute the message, try to destroy the messenger. We should be encouraged by this lame attempt to smear an honorable Congresswoman. It should motivate us to work even harder to spread the truth about Islamofascism far and wide! The more people see the truth, the more they will recognize that those who try to defend militant Islam have nothing to offer except, well, fear-mongering and name-calling. Shock horror: Muslim leader condemns Myrick anti-jihad plan! http://www.jihadwatch.org/archives/020830.php "'Myrick's latest attempt at fighting terrorism is nothing more than a fear campaign,' said Jibril Hough, a spokesman for the Islamic Center of Charlotte. 'It is nothing more than a new McCarthyism, or Myrickism. As Muslims, we have become expendable as politicians like Myrick seek political gain.' "Myrick said she wants the group to give a point-by-point rebuttal of her plan." Yes, that would be most interesting. What could Jibril Hough say? Let's go through the Myrick Plan and see: 1. Investigate all military chaplains endorsed by Abdurahman Alamoudi, who was imprisoned for funding a terrorist organization. Alamoudi is doing 23 years for funding jihad terrorism. Is it possible that some of the military chaplains he endorsed shared his jihadist views? Can Jibril Hough explain why not? 2. Investigate all prison chaplains endorsed by Alamoudi. Same question as for #1. 3. Investigate the selection process of Arabic translators working for the Pentagon and the FBI. An FBI whistleblower has reported that Arabic translators there cheered the 9/11 attacks. Can Jibril Hough explain why this should not be a cause for concern? 4. Examine the non-profit status of the Council on American-Islamic Relations. The Council on American-Islamic Relations has had several of its officials convicted on jihad terror-related charges, and was named an unindicted co-conspirator in a Hamas funding case. Can Jibril Hough explain why its tax-exempt status should not at least be examined? 5. Make it an act of sedition or solicitation of treason to preach or publish materials that call for the deaths of Americans. Objections, Mr. Hough? 6. Audit sovereign wealth funds in the United States. If these funds may be used to conduct warfare against the U.S., what exactly is Mr. Hough's objection? 7. Cancel scholarship student visa program with Saudi Arabia until they reform their text books, which she claims preach hatred and violence against non-Muslims. It is demonstrably true that they do. Does Mr. Hough endorse this? 8. Restrict religious visas for imams who come from countries that don't allow reciprocal visits by non-Muslim clergy. This is simply in the interests of mutual tolerance and understanding, is it not, Mr. Hough? 9. Cancel contracts to train Saudi police and security in U.S. counterterrorism tactics. Given ongoing Saudi financing of the global jihad, what exactly is Mr. Hough's objection? 10. Block the sale of sensitive military munitions to Saudi Arabia. Same question as #9. But I doubt that Hough will provide a point-by-point refutation, for the same reason that John Esposito will not debate me. What can they say? "Muslim condemns Myrick plan: Senator says she welcomes dialogue on anti-terrorism proposal," by Jim Morrill for the Charlotte Observer (thanks to Twostellas):
