Previous to Jan 23, 2008 most of the Western world did not know that Egypt has a
blockade of its own to the Gaza Strip preventing cross border traffic.
Surprise, surprise, surprise!!! It looks very similar to the fence the Israelis
built complete with concrete walls and 20 foot tall corrugated iron and razor
wire.
Gaza has been under Palestinian rule since the Oslo Peace Accords when Arafat went from resistance leader to legitimized Palestinian Authority. Hamas has been the acting authority since June and has demonstrated equally corrupt leadership and equally deadly aggression against Israel. The Palestinians had launched 4 to 5 hundred rockets into Israel in the previous week which prompted the Israelis to close access into Israel and allowed only emergency shipments into Gaza. Of course, the UN has called Israel's actions criminal but have no regard for the hundreds of rockets Hamas has used to attack non-military targets in Israel in the previous week or for the blockade on the Egyptian border. Gaza's borders are entirely controlled by its only neighbors, Israel and Egypt but Israel gets all the criticism for the blockade.
Hamas, feeling the pressure from their own people suffering for lack of food and basic staples, blew up the Egyptian blockade instead of Israel's because they knew a breach on that side would be viewed as an attempt to attack the Israeli military and would be met with overwhelming force. News reports reveal that the Egyptian border also has military guarding it and they have repelled numerous attempts to cross until the night time breach in 5 or 6 different locations via multiple explosions and heavy equipment pushing over the weakened structure. If you read through the articles, some way down into the body you find that throughout the 11 day breach, a kind of open air bazaar sprang up via Egyptian peddlers bringing supplies to sell to the Palestinians who were streaming over the border, but just a couple blocks away, military and riot police contained the hordes of shoppers coming out to buy their supplies.
In the end, Hamas under pressure, worked with the Egyptians to reseal the border, controlling its own populace while the fence was being set up again. So much for the brotherhood of Islam. If you don't think this is enough proof that Egypt is just as guilty in the suffering of the Palestinians in Gaza, take it from a spokesman for Hamas. ""The people of Palestine will not go back to their cage," Sami Abu Zuhri said at a rally Friday. "We broke the handcuffs, and we will break the siege."
Some in Israel think this is an opportunity to force Egypt to take responsibility for Gaza. Matan Vilnai This would allow Israel to wean Gaza from the Israeli tit and produce accountability in the area through the peace treaty Israel has enjoyed with Egypt since 1979. Gaza would benefit by being released from the terribly inept leadership of Hamas and other factions who would rule in their stead. Quoting Daniel Pipes; Egypt has abilities Israel does not, to work with Muslims to bring security to both the Gazans and Israel and the onus is on Muslims, not Jews to help Muslims.

Public school children in grades K-12 are being assigned textbooks that misrepresent and, in some cases, glorify Islamic beliefs and history – often at the expense of other religions and cultures. The apologetics and indoctrination common in university Middle East studies programs is being carried into public schools by contentious, ahistorical, and inaccurate textbooks written by those same Middle East studies professors.
History Alive! The Medieval World and Beyond, a textbook published by the Teachers' Curriculum Institute, was removed from the Scottsdale, Arizona school district in 2005 for this very reason. The textbook is now causing controversy in California and at the center of the storm is Cal State University-Sacramento sociology professor Ayad Al-Qazzaz.
An Iraqi native who specializes in Middle East studies, Al-Qazzaz, is both a contributor to History Alive and one of the gatekeepers who approved it for use in California's public middle schools. And, according to an American Textbook Council review cited by World Net Daily (WND):
Al-Qazzaz is a Muslim apologist, a frequent speaker in Northern California school districts promoting Islam and Arab causes…[He] also co-wrote AWAIR's 'Arab World Notebook.' AWAIR stands for Arab World and Islamic Resources, an opaque, proselytizing 'non-profit organization' that conducts teacher workshops and sells supplementary materials to schools.
A parent and former student in one of Al-Qazzaz's Middle East studies courses wrote to WND expressing her own reservations:
That was a big flag for me…after seeing Al-Qazzaz as one of the main contributors I began to put two and two together … about the extra book coming home only in this class and I questioned where this book's money source came from – I still do not know.
Al-Qazzaz's contributions to History Alive on the subject of jihad are flagrantly biased, as he consistently presents jihad as merely a personal struggle rather than a holy war.
Hence, as noted by WND, the text presents jihad as "an effort by Muslims to convince 'others to take up worthy causes, such as funding medical research'" and that "even at its most violent, 'jihad' is simply Muslims fighting 'to protect themselves from those who would do them harm.'"
In a 2003 KXTV, Sacramento, story on "Islamic War Ethics," he elaborated:
Al-Qazzaz says there are two levels of jihad. The greater jihad is every Muslim's quest to live out their faith in their daily lives, to improve themselves and to become a better Muslim. The lesser jihad means to protect one's people and fight against enemies, he says. So the greater jihad prompts devout Muslims to remember their religious guidelines while fighting, which would cause them to treat war prisoners well.
One suspects the victims of beheadings and torture would beg to differ. Moreover, that Islamists (otherwise known as jihadists) worldwide repeatedly cite jihad as a motivating factor belies Al-Qazzaz's contention that war is the "lesser jihad."
In a 2002 interview with Peace Magazine, Al-Qazzaz rejected the association of "jihad" with "fundamentalism" and advocated what's come to be known as the "root causes" approach to combating Islamic terrorism:
You are not going to get rid of suicide bombers by killing them. You have to know the causes. It is like a disease. You can treat the symptoms but if you don't know the causes, the symptoms keep coming up.
Yet, when the interview turned to the study of Islam and its connection to terrorism, Al-Qazzaz skirted the issue by blaming others. After first accusing Islam scholar Bernard Lewis of "becoming progressively anti-Islam and Zionist," he continued:
There are two schools of thought about Islam in the US. One school is headed by Bernard Lewis and Daniel Pipes, who equate Islam to terrorism. The other school, headed by John Esposito, argues that there are bad apples everywhere. You have terrorists in Islam, terrorists in Judaism, terrorists in Hindu-ism. But the majority of the people, though they may be backward, do not have a terrorist attitude.
Al-Qazzaz's characterization of both Bernard Lewis and Daniel Pipes is demonstrably false. Neither equates Islam with terrorism, but, rather, seeks to examine the undeniable connection between the two. John Esposito, who heads the Saudi-funded Prince Alwaleed bin Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding at Georgetown, is a leading Wahhabi apologist who consistently seeks to muddle what is in fact an Islam-specific issue.
Considering Al-Qazzaz's troubling viewpoints on these matters, his involvement with History Alive and other Middle East studies textbooks is cause for alarm. Not only do California education officials need to undertake a rigorous and unbiased reexamination of such textbooks, but also the gatekeepers approving their use. Otherwise, it's simply a case of the fox guarding the hen house.

Here we are again, seeing the new evidence of how low they will go to inflict their evil on the rest of us. This video explains how the terrorists are using prosthetics to disguise their suicide bombers as pregnant women. It goes on to reveal that they are recruiting people who look and sound like westerners and have the legitimate documentation to travel freely, to carry out their attacks on innocent civilians.
Original site can be found at:
http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=9a4_1202868059
Profiling won't be an issue anymore, but accidental shootings of pregnant women within our airports and sports arenas may be. Lest we forget, they have already arranged it so that its now possible to mistakenly kill the mentally challenged and children by using them to carry out terrorist bombings.
We westerners have to understand that their's is a culture that values religious pride and identity above life, even the lives of their own children as evidenced not only by these unwitting suicide bombers, but also by their honor killings of daughters who refuse to wear the hijab or who've been raped or for just dating.
America does not target innocent civilians but the enemy uses the innocent as shields and as couriers to carry their bomb belts into our midst. The enemy is evil, real, and cunning. Their is no comparison between honorable men and women of our culture and those who consider it an honor to target our innocent and hide behind their innocent civilians. Cowardly tactics from cowardly ideologues.
About those who compare ours to theirs; you consider it bravery to attack honorable institutions and those who man them on the confidence that you will not be answered violence for violence. Beware; this is an open threat. If I catch any of you attacking one of these honorable people who cannot return blow for blow under threat of biased prosecutor and judges and this politically correct climate, I will step up to do so in their stead. Your right to freedom of speech does not include destruction of property public or private, and it certainly does not include any personal attacks to people in uniform.
Charles Barkley, Madonna, and innumerous other pop culture icons are purposefully and in some cases ignorantly misquoting Jesus to Christians. Its not exactly a misquote, but it is definitely taking his instruction out of context. This verse makes it clearer.
John 7:24 "Do not
judge
according
to appearance
, but
judge
with righteous
judgment
."
Here is a video of a pastor saying it much better than I can. Here's to defeating this ignorance.
This is a newsletter I get on a regular basis from American Congress for Truth and ACT for America. This information is reliable. I recommend visiting their website on a regular basis.
http://www.americancongressfortruth.org/ or simply register to receive their newsletter for yourselves. They are the only organization I know of that is doing more than whining about the headway Muslims are making to initiate Sharia within our culture through our courts. The lady that started this organization is Bridgette Gabriel. You've seen her on CNN and Glen Beck, Hannity and Colmes and many other news shows. She grew up in Lebanon when Muslims were persecuting all other faiths out of existence there. So here now is her newsletter.
Last September we sent out an email reporting the existence of a
Muslim Brotherhood Memorandum that was entered into evidence at the
federal trial of the Holy Land Foundation in Dallas. The following is
an analysis of this memorandum by Stephen Coughlin, whose contract was
not renewed by the Pentagon but who will soon be in a new position with
the Office of the Secretary of Defense. The bottom line of this memorandum is this: It calls for
“civilization Jihad” (what we typically refer to as “cultural Jihad”)
against North America. As we have noted in prior emails to you, this
aspect of Jihad is ominous and insidious, in that it is incremental,
occurs from within, and is thus unnoticed by most people. As the
people of Great Britain have painfully learned (perhaps too late),
resisting this form of Jihad will, in fact, require greater vigilance
and will on our part than resisting the obvious assault of terrorism. The Memorandum clearly asserts that the Muslim Brotherhood, a
radical Islamic organization that has spawned some 70 Islamic
organizations around the world and in the United States (such as ISNA),
is the authority for the advance of “civilization Jihad.”
ANALYSIS OF MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD’S GENERAL STRATEGIC GOALS FOR NORTH AMERICA MEMORANDUM
By Pentagon Joint Staff analyst Stephen Coughlin, 7 September 2007
INTRODUCTION
The following is a brief analysis of a Muslim Brotherhood document entered into evidence in the U.S. v Holy Land Foundation trial (Trial) that the U.S. Justice Department is currently prosecuting in Federal Court. Analysis is based on this document as well as other publicly available documents. (For a broad offering of Trial documents, see here). The attached documents relate to ISNA and the Trial.
The first document is a Muslim Brotherhood memorandum that was accepted into evidence in the U.S. v Holy Land Foundation (HLF) case. The first 16 pages are in the original Arabic and the second are English language translations of the same. It is dated 22 May 1991 and titled “An Explanatory Memorandum on the General Strategic Goal for the Group in North America” (Memorandum). The document includes an Attachment 1 that contains “a list of our organizations and the organizations of our friends.”
Among those noted in the Attachment are ISNA, MSA, AMSS, AMSE, NAIT, IFC, IPAC, IAP, UASR, ICNA (typo in the second listing) and IIIT. ICNA and ISNA are the only two organizations named in the body of the text. ISNA is additionally represented on the list as IFC (ISNA Fiqh Committee – now the Fiqh Council of North America) and IPAC (ISNA Political Awareness Committee). The second document is a signed letter from Members of Congress Pete Hoekstra and Sue Myrick to the Justice Department dated 28 August 2007 formally requesting that Justice stand down from “co-sponsoring” a conference with ISNA due to its very close relationship to the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas. Justice attended anyhow. The Memorandum was admitted into evidence at the same time the Letter was sent addressing Congressional concerns.
DISCUSSION
ACCEPTED AS EVIDENCE
It should be noted that the Memorandum met evidentiary standards to be admissible as evidence in a Federal Court of law.
THE ENUMERATED ENTITIES ARE MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD
As noted, both ICNA and ISNA are identified and described in the body of the Memorandum in these contexts:
- The positive development with the brothers in the Islamic Circle in an attempt to reach a unity of merger.
- We have the seed for a “comprehensive Dawa’ educational” organization: We have the Dawa’ section in ISNA.
The enumerated recognition suggests that ISNA and ICNA, as elements of the entity that drafted the Memorandum, are likewise elements of the Muslim Brotherhood. Additionally, the Memorandum refers to the entities designated in Attachment (1) as currently held possessions:
- What encourages us to do that – in addition to the aforementioned – is that we possess “seeds” for each organization from the organization we call for [See attachment (1)].
MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD IN CHARGE IN NORTH AMERICA
The Memorandum expressly recognizes the Muslim Brotherhood (Ikkwan) as the controlling element. For example, the first authority identified as the basis of the Memorandum is the Muslim Brotherhood:
- The general strategic goal of the Group in America which was approved by the Shura Council and the Organizational Conference for the year 1987 in “Enablement of Islam in North America, meaning: establishing the effective and stable Islamic Movement led by the Muslim Brotherhood which adopts Muslims’ causes domestically and globally, and which works to expand the observant Muslim base, aims at unifying and directing Muslims’ efforts, presents Islam as a civilization alternative, and supports the global Islamic State wherever it is.” [emphasis added]
Next, the Memorandum expressly identifies the Muslim Brotherhood as the leadership element in implementing the strategic goals:
- Also, we must summon and take along “elements” of the general strategic goal of the Group in North America and I will intentionally repeat them in numbers. They are:
*(1) Establishing an effective and stable Islamic Movement led by the Muslim Brotherhood.*
The status of the Muslim Brotherhood as being in charge of all Muslim organizations in North America is reinforced in a statement asserting that establishing Islam as a part of America is to be done through a civilization level Jihad:
- In order for Islam and its Movement to become “a part of the homeland” in which it lives, “stable” in the land, “rooted” in the spirits and minds of its people, “enabled” in the lives of its society and has firmly-established “organizations” on which the Islamic structure is built and with which the testimony of the civilization is achieved, the Movement must plan and struggle to obtain “the keys” and the tools of this process in carry out this grand mission as a “Civilization Jihadist” responsibility which lies on the shoulders of Muslim and – on top of them – the Muslim Brotherhood in this country.
An analysis of the entities designated in Attachment (1) of the Memorandum, along with those entities that can be reasonably assessed to have spun off from them since 1991, should be assessed to see what organizational presence they represent.
CIVILIZATION-JIHAD: THE STRATEGIC GOAL OF THE MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD.
Having established its leadership, the Memorandum states the role of the Muslim Brotherhood in North America:
- The process of settlement is a “Civilization-Jihadist Process” with all the means. The Ikhwan must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and “sabotaging” its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and Allah’s religion is made victorious over all other religions. Without this level of understanding, we are not up to this challenge and have not prepared ourselves for Jihad yet. It is a Muslim’s destiny to perform Jihad and work wherever he is and wherever he lands until the final hour comes, and there is not escape from that destiny except for those who chose to slack. [emphasis added]. But, would the slackers and the Mujahedeen be equal.
- As part of the process is “[the] conviction that the success of the settlement of Islam and its Movement in this country [America] is a success to the global Islamic Movement and true support for the sought after state [caliphate] God willing.” [emphasis added]
The first bullet is a clear threat statement of hostile intent while the second speaks to foreign agency to a transnational movement with stated objectives that overlap with al-Qaeda’s. When assessing members who belong to organizations known to be identified with the Muslim Brotherhood, the inference should be that their designated leaders have knowledge of its identified roles and missions. It is not reasonable to do otherwise. [emphasis added].
The strategic goal of the Muslim Brotherhood in North America is multifold: the destruction of Western civilization through a long-term civilization-killing Jihad from within (“by their [our] hands”) and through sabotage (“the hands of the believers”) and, secondly; to support the global Islamic movement to establish an Islamic super-state, the caliphate. [emphasis added].
When conducting outreach with organizations identified as being a party to the “strategic goals” identified in the Memorandum, the gain/loss assessment of associating with them should be undertaken in light of their clearly stated hostile intent that includes the subversion of American institutions through outreach, strategic deception and perception management. To undertake outreach with known identified organizations without knowledge of their objectives is to run the extreme risk of strategic manipulation by declared Jihad entities in ways that fulfill stated Muslim Brotherhood objectives as enumerated in the Memorandum.

Yesterday, I heard Charles Barkley slamming Christianity for judging people, calling it hypocrisy. He (Barkley) judged all of Christendom hypocrites for judging others. The lack of depth, the vacuousness of his thought processes are not unique. This is fast becoming the populist position within the very culture that is derived from Christianity. What has Western culture become?
If Christians are hypocrites for judging others, what does that make those who judge Christians and condemn them for judging? I do not condemn anyone for judging me, in fact I encourage it. However, I must condemn anyone who judges me on the basis of prejudice. Prejudice is a pre-judgment and in this case, a pre-judgment (prejudice) based on my faith, an irrational fear of Christians and it is called Christophobia.
Judgment based on understanding, facts, behavior, values, and morals is absolutely necessary to our survival. You cannot succeed in any relationship without using your judgment. Everybody uses judgment to choose their friends, their spouses, their advisors, their suppliers, their customers, business partners.......everyone is judged daily. What's more, since no one is perfect, we have to use our judgment within each relationship with every contact, every exchange of information must be evaluated for relevance and accuracy. Even my pastor, whom I respect and adore and lean on for guidance has weaknesses and holes in his knowledge and is therefore capable of steering me wrong, not because of evil intent necessarily, though he struggles with certain temptations just like I do, but lack of knowledge. So I evaluate what my mentor has to say maybe even more carefully than what my doctor has to say. Most assuredly, I evaluate what my doctor has to say since my life may literally depend on it.
I have heard more often than most Christians prejudices like Barkley's because I have tried to reach young people with some good old fashioned common sense. When I have been on Yahoo's Answers and in chat rooms and when I speak to the youth in person, I am often condemned for judging others for giving common sense advice. These young people have been taught this prejudice in our educational institutions. From grade school through college this anti-Christian attitude is rampant among the staff and the kids pick it up directly or indirectly, through lessons or by observing their teachers. Now with the legal requirements to remove God from schools, these prejudices are being reinforced by our courts and by the highest authority in the land. This schizophrenia fracturing the character of our nation and its culture is what is weakening our resolve to define and fight evil within our own culture as well as the external threats to our very existence.
Some examples of what I've been condemned for include, choosing what kind of person to date, what kind of person to be, what kind of person to follow, what kind of person to do business with. Anytime we Christians are attacked (verbally) on the basis of this prejudice, Christians should respond with a counter attack (verbally) on their prejudice and hypocrisy. Stand for what you believe in and stand for your reputation loudly and immediately. Expose the ignorance of your attacker so that all who hear will know their prejudice and shallowness of thought. Let it be a shame to them. Do not allow an unreasonable fear based on prejudice to condemn you for following the Scriptures. Certainly, do not allow a non-believer to mis-quote Jesus or to take His word out of context to condemn you.
The bigger problem is when the non-believer equates Christianity with Islam. Every week we hear of another act of terror perpetrated on Christians and Jews. In Chad and the Sudan the Islamic government and those it supports are ethnically cleansing the entire country. They are killing everyone who does not believe in their particular branch of Islam, so Christians, Jews, and Muslims are dyeing by their torturous methods. In Saudi Arabia and Iran and numerous other countries dominated by Islam, people are literally executed for leaving Islam. Where in the Christian dominated governments around the world can you claim anybody is executed for leaving Christianity? There are none. Yet, pop culture here in this nation, give Christianity, Islam, and all religions the same level of credence. We Christians make statements against lewd behavior, debauchery and defend values that have stood the test of thousands of years, but in Arabia and Persia they don't just speak out against this behavior, they take deadly steps to stop it. If you are a non-Muslim there and are caught in a sexual encounter with a Muslim woman, you will be executed. If you are caught in a homosexual act whether you are Muslim or not, you will be executed. If you try to teach a Muslim about your faith, any faith other than Islam, you will be executed.
Ok, so maybe most people are unaware of these distinctions. What about the way they conduct war? We see on the nightly news that Muslims target their own innocent civilians in order to disrupt the economy in Iraq to keep the region from trusting the stability the American forces are bringing to them. Muslims use their youth to blow themselves up in crowded shops in Israel. They target innocent civilians in other countries. They keep children around their leaders so that if they are located and attacked the children will be killed in the process, then our media play their story in our homes so that the enemy is aided by our media to make us look as bad as they are because their children were killed. Their moderates do not speak out against their extremists' obvious evil ways to protect the reputation of their own faith. Their is no comparison, but they are given equal status with the vastly more honorable by our own colleges, media, courts, and to some degree, even our president. (Religion of peace) In fact many of the Muslims who fully support these extremists have been employed as professors in our colleges. The peaceniks and the blame America types have no excuse for equating murderers and terrorists with those of us who try and occasionally fail to hold the standard, who try to convey that standard to others, who do not force our faith on others, but offer information to be evaluated for its truthfulness and who fight to make freedom available to all people. We do have real reason to fear the advancement of Islam for the things I've listed above and much more.
Charles Barkley is ignorant. No surprise, this. What is surprising is that we hear the same rhetoric coming from our youth, our media, and our courts. That is why we need to be ready to answer prejudicial attacks. That is why we need to judge right.
Random school shootings are coming more and more often and everybody is wondering why they do it and, more importantly, how we can stop them. Its time to take drastic measures. Its time to take a hard look at real world examples of what works.
A small town in Florida was dealing with a rapid increase in violent crime. The city council decided to create a new ordinance that required every citizen to carry a weapon. They did not have to load it and the police did not enforce the ordinance, but those who had a desire to did begin carrying concealed weapons. Almost overnight, the violent crime rate fell very near to nill. Removing all guns literally creates an environment that provokes violent crime, while making them more available actually greatly reduces violence.
The advocacy of gun free zones, especially posting a sign describing these zones as such in schools, malls, fast food restaurants, they might as well have posted; Gunmen, Nobody Here Will Resist You! Everywhere personal firearms are banned, violent crime rates have skyrocketed. Why? Because the crooks know that there will likely be no force prepared to repel them, not only gun violence but also knife attacks, baseball bat attacks, etc., Why wouldn't they? After all, they are crooks. Personally, I wouldn't prefer being killed or attacked by knife or baseball bat over a gun.
With kids finding access to guns and with the absence of guidance in dealing with failure and frustration in the liberal Western culture and with the news giving these stories all the attention theses kids desire for the ultimate statement, create a recipe for repeated horror stories. This feeds the news industry so they have no incentive to correct their lack of ethics any more than the kids have any incentive to seek a different outlet to express their frustration.
The only answer left is to require every authority figure in the schools to conceal carry, from the Dean to the custodian. The only answer to runaway violent crime is to require everybody to take responsibility for the defense of themselves and their charges. In the same way we force kids to take driver training, we should force every adult to take gun safety courses and allow them to have the tools and if they have charges, require them to carry the tools. When crooks are faced with even odds of survival or death vs. uneven odds in favor of success, they naturally weigh the opportunity to gain or force their will on the innocent against the likelihood of dieing instead of (usually long after the crime) merely getting caught, convicted, and spending time in confinement. (often considered a badge of honor in their peer group) For the nutso facto element perpetrating terror on schools and other so-called gun free zones, the news report of a shootout just doesn't carry the same glory as the nation-wide coverage of another loan gunman randomly shooting students and faculty.
The insanity of the current mindset of progressive Western culture that guns, gun dealers, and gun makers are guilty of dealing death, at the same time they fight for the preservation of the gun wielders who do these great acts of evil who were caught, convicted, and sentenced to death creates the environment that provokes and promotes irresponsible conduct. Only a moral idiot can advocate gun control, preservation of guilty and evil perpetrators and condemn the makers and dealers who provide tools for self defense. With great power comes great responsibility. With the nanny state (powerlessness) comes great irresponsibility. With responsibility comes great consequences. Without responsibility, there are greater consequences. With great consequence comes caution and a serious life outlook, not necessarily applied with any wisdom. Passions run high whichever side of this issue you are on but only one side looks at the evidence for what works rather than emoting an oversimplified cure-all. If you don't want to carry, then don't, let the grownups deal with the evil. But don't equate the grownups with the terrible evil doers just because they use the same deadly tools.
Have you ever had a premonition about something that came true?
Submitted by Sheri.
No. I really wanted to know that experience, but I have had dreams that repeated for years and then came to mean something I believe to be messages from God. Usually long and involved, it would be difficult to explain what they were and how they were relevant to my life and purpose. They have proved invaluable for directing the course of my life to work toward the good of society. This is one of the main reasons I blog. Its an effort to give direction to anyone who'll listen...'er read what an old man has to contribute to the welfare of our culture.
In that vein, I'd like to explain why I chose the name for my blog that you see above. Judging has been condemned among the youth and pop culture of our society. These are people who do not think very deeply. If they would bother to scratch the surface of this thought theme, they'd begin to understand how ridiculous the statement, "You shouldn't judge people." really is. You shouldn't choose your friends? You shouldn't choose your country's leader? You shouldn't choose which religion to believe in or which leader in that religion to follow? You shouldn't choose where to work or what kind of work you should do? You shouldn't choose who or where you get your education from? Get real! Yet, when I used to spend hours in Yahoo Answers, I would be judged and condemned for expressing my opinion of certain askers and especially, answerers. I say again, they would condemn me for judging others.
We literally, could not survive if we didn't use our common sense, and judgment is part of this mental utility. When they quote Jesus to me, a Christian, to defend their stance on judgment, I am forced to go into a long, detailed explanation of the use of words, interpretation of languages, and the mis-application by several generations the latest of which is this pop culture. Perhaps a better word the interpreters should have used would be 'condemn' but until now the depth of thought was good enough to recognize the proper application in most people. So, I am waging war on the shallow thought. I invite you to judge whether this message and this messenger is worth hearing....'er, reading.
