Let's Get Something Straight
Ever since Jeremiah Wright's outlandish sermons came out and got Obummer in all this hot water the liberals have been trying to glue a controversial pastor to John McCain. I am still no fan of John McCain but this is ridiculous. John McCain's pastor is not John Hagee or Rod Parsley though I would not be ashamed to call either of them my pastor. Every public speaker makes gaffs, so I wouldn't call anybody out on one statement which was then retracted. There is a clear difference between somebody sitting in a church for twenty + years and a candidate who was endorsed by a pastor who has made a couple of controversial statements which, if they weren't being tied to a political candidate would never have been noticed outside their church. John Hagee made a statement about Catholics that was then taken out of context and made into something it was never meant to portray. Then he made another statement that didn't offend Jews but Liberals got all bent out of shape that they would have been offended if they were Jewish. So Hagee apologized and retracted his statement. Now its Rod Parsley. Rod made some statements in a sermon which can be interpreted to be hateful toward Islam. His statements were not inaccurate, inflammatory maybe, but definitely accurate with regard to the scriptures and with regard to the behavior of Muslims. So, McCain rejected both Hagee's and Parsley's endorsements. But let's be clear here. McCain has never attended either Hagee's or Parsley's churches much less been baptized by them or referred to them as his mentors and certainly has not sat under their tutelage for twenty years. So who is John McCain's pastor? This link will take you to an article by Hans Nichols that should tell you all you want to know about John McCain's relationship with his pastor of the last 15 years.

This stretching and gluing exercise by the media and the liberal politico stunt coordinators is so flagrantly in our face obvious, this has no chance of doing anything but further hurting the Obama camp and discrediting the media propagating for them. Give it up people, you are beating the wrong horse and the horse you want isn't deserving of a beating. Dan Yeary of the North Phoenix Baptist Church is a pretty conservative pastor in a pretty conservative church. I'm pretty sure the Obama camp vetted him as soon as the Jeremiah Wright brouhaha came to light. Nothin' to see here people, move along. Try to find something worthwhile to criticize McCain for instead of trying to match nut berger for racist, seperatist, campaign torpedoing Wright.
I am more concerned that John McCain is tossing overboard good people rather than taking a stand against smear tactics and slander of good men who have shown him nothing but encouragement and support. Boo on you John McCain for wet noodle spineless appeasement to the liberal smear machine. If you can't stand up to these mealy mouthed attacks what does that say about your ability to stand up against actual threats to American values and traditions much less foreign political powers. This is the problem conservatives have had with our own politicians in Washington. Stand up and fight for what is right and good in this country. All of you Republican politicians need to grow a spine and get into the fray and make a difference in the propaganda wars. Get our message out. Get our ideals back in. What are you running from? This is the fight we hire you for.
